At the launch of the Vida electric scooter, Hero MotoCorp had introduced two variants- V1 Plus and the top-spec V1 Pro. Overtime, the V1 Plus was discontinued with the V1 Pro being the sole variant on sale. Cut to 2024 and the company has reintroduced the V1 Plus variant.
The Vida V1 Plus sits below the Vida V1 Pro and is priced at Rs 1.15 lakh. This makes it significantly more affordable than the V1 Pro that will set you back by Rs 1.45 lakh. These prices are inclusive of FAME II subsidy and the portable charger. In places such as Delhi where additional subsidies are effective, the price of the V1 Pro goes down to Rs 97,800.
The Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro are powered by the same motor that has a peak output of 6kW. However, there is a minor, 0.2s difference in the 0-40kph acceleration times of these variants. The Vida V1 Plus has a smaller, 3.44kWh battery that delivers a claimed range of 100km compared to the V1 Pro that has a 110km range owing to its larger, 3.94kWh battery.
In every other way, the Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro are the same. Whether it is design, chassis, wheels, brakes or features like the colour, touchscreen display.
The Vida V1 Plus goes up against the Ather 450 Plus and the Ola S1 Air
