Yamaha has confirmed the launch of a new product for the Indian market on January 7. This confirmation has come through a ‘block your date’ invite to BikeWale.
The company is tight-lipped about the launch as they haven’t event said if it’s a motorcycle or a scooter. But from the overall design of the invite, we are expecting it to be a scooter that is more women oriented. If this becomes true, then it will be the second product from the Japanese manufacturer after the Ray that is being targeted at women riders.
Yamaha had unveiled the concept version of the R25 at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show. The bike that has the design cues of the YZR M1 is powered by a liquid-cooled 250cc inline two-cylinder engine and gets a new chassis. We are expecting to see the production version of the R25 to make its debut at the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo.
