From my childhood it's a dream bike for me and my gang. The first ever India's four-stroke bike. Roars on the roads, terrains where not. My experience on it 30000 kilometres (approximately) but still romancing with it and obviously it's a last long romance ever. Thanks royal enfield to feel proud on India's best product ever.

  • My royal friend. My bullet

    Saurabh Singh Rathore

I had a plan to purchase a bike for daily commute and occasional long trips. I thought of many bikes like apache, pulsar but their looks were not appealing for me but they may be for some. I wanted a retro, classic and a simple bike that should suit me. I went to the showroom of jawa as one of my friends suggested me that this old brand is a legacy. I visited there but i felt the bike was small and quite overpriced. Next day, i went to showroom of royal enfield and i saw exactly what met my demands. This bullet 350 es had muscular and bold looks with retro styling. When i started the engine for test drive it brought a smile on my face as the engine started making its traditional and unique sound even when it was ideal in neutral, "thug thug thug...". When i rode this bike i felt more dominant and better as compared to other with their old looking conventional bikes like splendors. I decided and booked that bike after the test drive. A few days after i took the delivery and after two days i took it for a ride of 200 kms and i really enjoyed that ride with my friends. I especially liked the sound it made and the power is absolutely enough for city traffic and on highways for overtakes. When i used to ride in city daily to my office people turn their heads at me hearing the sound of my bullet. Its performance is great enough to draw the attention of the eyeballs of people. It has a great pickup to launch you from traffic signals and for overtaking. This bike has a good seat for rider and a separate pillion seat both of which are comfortable. The reliability of royal enfield bikes is also great.I purchased it in black colour which made its look far better than other bike and when the colour shines in sunlight this bike looks very cool and nice. There are some cons like the mirrors are not stable when we push the bike hard. There are vibrations in bike may be due to heavy engine. The mileage of bullet is low as compared to rivals. I got 20-25 kmpl in city and 30-35 on highways. The maintenance and servicing of a bullet is quite expensive. Its spare parts are expensive as compared to jawa bikes. The buying experience was also nice, the staff is helpful and explains everything properly regarding servicing, functions and anything you have doubt about. My experience with this bike is great and i would strongly recommend you to purchase this bike. You can surely go for it over jawa.

Royal enfield bullet 350 is a great budget luxury cruiser. It offers a great ride quality and it's seating position gives the rider a great command. It offers a decent fuel economy with thrilling performance. Especially the thunderous thump which outclasses all its competitors. The iconic design gives the rider a retro feel and the superb built quality makes it look a lot more premium than it's rivals. The new unit construction engine fulfils the need of the hour . The bike can cruise and can give u a impressive city ride. It produces 19.8 horse power at 5252 rpm and a huge 28 nm of torque at 4000 rpm. The power is not that apt for such a large engine but it has the best in class power and torque ratio. The engine provides a punchy mid range because of the large amount of torque but it just can't manage over 80kmph. The engine vibrates a lot and you just can't ride over 80kmph for a long period of time. The instrument cluster which is unchanged from the beginning of the bullet era gives you the feel of late 70s and 80s . Servicing is not a tough issue, but it is recommended to service any royal enfield at the company workshops. Regular servicing gives a long live to the bike. So overall the bike is a great package but is falls way behind when it comes to features. U don't get disc brakes, except you buy an electra, i am talking about the standard here, you don't get abs, no trip meters, and you don't even get electric start in a bike which costs over 1 lakh. That's the very weak point of the standard 350. But the main thing is that you get a retro cruiser with an unique exhaust note at just that price, which is great offer in my opinion...

Got the Jet Black ES model for Rs.1,59,000/- (Haryana on-road) in August 2020.
I chose the bike as I wanted a torquey engine and didn't want to spend a bomb. Also was gonna ride with a pillion so the KTMs were out of the picture. Moreover, the service network is a huge bonus.
The buying experience was fine other than the fact the insurance they offer was substantially expensive, so I got it from a insurance broker (saved Rs. 8,000).
This is not your run of the mill bullet anymore. BS6 norms has changed the whole characteristic of the bike. The thump isn't there anymore but you enjoy less vibrations and comparatively higher speeds than the past bullets. I've done 7,000 kms on this and only once i faced a problem when it got punctured on the highway (tubed tires). Had to change couple of spokes as well as due to bad roads.
You might feel that the service center costs are on the higher side, mainly because they are! Maintaining other brands in this price point is much affordable.
If you don't want to spend over your budget, go for the bullet, You'll be happy!
