Nothing exciting in this bike except for dual channel. Exhaust is raised to make it look attractive and aggressive. No major design change. Feels like came old bike being ridden on the roads of punjab village with customized silencer. Heavy bike with better breaking and couple tweaks. Not done re. As the name suggests, better to keep it for trials only. Mass production??? not a good idea.

      Turning the pages of history

Why royal enfield is more interested in turning the pages of history rather than giving us an all purpose neo-retro bike. With classic they have tasted success but it seems they have not analyzed the reasons for their success properly. Limited edition variants of classic based on some historic lineages have been successful too but the continental gt failed and himalayan is selling in low numbers. There were high expectations from twins but why did they chose the form factor of an already failed product i.E. Continental gt for their new engine. they must understand what their bikes stand for the indian customer. After all most of these bikes are used for daily commute in bumper to bumper traffic and a few leisurely highway trips. Who would like to race a royal enfield? i guess nobody! those were different times but now there are specialized products available for racing. People would take their re on adventure tours to remote locations in himalayas because of the reliability of the bike, the reliability that has come from the age old simple mechanicals. Would i let a village mechanic to touch my re twin? no! Presently, there are products that are sophisticated but more reliable than re.So re get your act together and give us a retro looking but truly modern twin cylinder low rider cruiser.
