Royal Enfield Continental GT 450 is expected to launch in India in October 2026 in the expected price range of ₹ 2,70,000 to ₹ 3,00,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to Continental GT 450 are QJ Motor SRV 300, Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Honda CB350. Another bike similar to Continental GT 450 is Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin which is launching in October 2026 in India.
Royal Enfield’s 450cc platform is slated to deliver many motorcycles and the list will start with the company’s first liquid-cooled motorcycle, the Himalayan 450 adventure tourer before a road-going version arrives. The company will also introduce a café-racer model that will be based on this new platform and it will most likely be christened the Continental GT 450. Notably, the company currently offer the Continental GT brand in the 650cc segment.
Unlike the existing Continental GT 650, this upcoming motorcycle will use a single-cylinder engine with a liquid-cooled setup. This motor, similar to the Himalayan 450, should deliver around 40bhp of maximum output. Meanwhile, the styling cues will be similar to the existing Continental GT 650 and the 450cc motorcycle, too, should use a café-racer-inspired design. Thus, we would see a clip-on-style handlebar and a rider-only saddle on this product. Royal Enfield may offer a semi-fairing for this motorcycle as an optional accessory to enhance the sportiness of the package. The feature list could comprise LED lighting, Tripper Navigation system, and a dual-channel ABS.
Meanwhile, the suspension setup could be different from what we have seen on the Himalayan 450 and similar to the one on the upcoming 450cc roadster motorcycle. Thus, the Continental GT 450 could use telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to handle the suspension duties. Meanwhile, the braking setup would most likely include single disc brakes on both wheels along with ByBre-sourced calipers.
The launch of this motorcycle is still some time away and we do not expect to see it before the end of 2024 or early 2025.
