Royal Enfield has updated its Indian product portfolio with the launch of the 2023 Continental GT 650. The latest iteration of the café-racer-style middleweight motorcycle gets several updates over its predecessor.
Visually, the motorcycle remains similar to the previous version and continues to feature a round headlight, twin-pod instrument cluster, clip-on-style handlebar, rear cowl, and twin-sided exhaust outlets. While the styling remains unchanged, Royal Enfield has updated the colour palette for the 2023 Continental GT 650, and the motorcycle is now available in two new blacked-out versions – Slipstream Blue and Apex Grey. These new colourways benefit from alloy wheels that are shod in tubeless tyres and will be sold alongside the Mr Clean, Dux Deluxe, British Racing Green, and Rocker Red paint themes. The rest of the colour options will continue to use 18-inch wire-spoke wheels.
Apart from adding the new colours to the palette, Royal Enfield has also updated the feature list for the 2023 Continental GT 650. The motorcycle now comes with an LED headlight instead of the halogen unit on the older model. The switchgear has been updated as well, and the 2023 model now gets Super Meteor 650-style switches. Other additions include a redesigned saddle for enhanced comfort and a USB charging port. Meanwhile, the 2023 model retains a halogen-style taillight, twin-pod instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS from the previous version.
The mechanical specifications retain the 647.95cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine with a single overhead camshaft and fuel injection system. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this motor is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 46.8bhp at 7,250rpm and a peak torque of 52.3Nm at 5,150rpm.
In terms of hardware, this middleweight café-racer uses a steel tubular double-cradle frame, telescopic front forks, preload-adjustable twin rear springs, a single 320mm disc at the front and a single 240mm rotor at the back. Other key dimensions include a 12.5-litre fuel tank, 174mm of ground clearance, and 214kg of kerb weight.

I love this bike because of its beautiful design, color and its powerful engine. Its weight balance is very good. Its pickup time is mind-blowing. Its dual disc brakes are very powerful. Its mileage average is 8-13 kmpl depending upon the roads. This bike never disappoints you in any rough situation. Its weight is some high so some problems will happen... Overall nice bike go for it.

I ride this bike not much but I ride almost 1000 km in summer that could be very difficult that I know only how I manage the whole ride. It almost burns my shoes. I got irritated by the heating problem of the bike . but on the other hand this bike fells different from other bike . i love this bike especially the shining tank in that it sees my face from this.

Its 648cc parallel-twin engine is smooth and responsive, offering plenty of torque for spirited rides. The bike’s cafe racer styling is striking, and the build quality feels premium. The riding position, while sporty, may not suit long-distance comfort for everyoneOverall, it's a fantastic, value-for-money choice for enthusiasts who love classic designs with reliable performance.

Extremely Poor Quality Parts on Royal Enfield GT Continental 350
18 weeks ago
Manikanata A R
I bought a brand new Royal Enfield GT Continental 350 just two and a half months ago, and my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. The bike feels sturdy and classic at first glance, but the quality of the parts is appalling.Within a short period, I encountered a significant design flaw. If for any reason the rider or passenger struggles to balance the bike and it leans over, even slightly, the clutch lever or brake lever will touch the ground. This has happened to me twice already, and both times the levers snapped in half. And guess what? Replacing these poorly made levers will set you back by ₹7,000 each time! This is unacceptable from a company that prides itself on craftsmanship and durability. If basic parts like the levers are this fragile, what else can we expect? Definitely not the quality I expected from Royal Enfield. Be prepared to shell out a lot of money for repairs if you're considering this bike.

Don't buy.. its Pathetic.

Imagine riding on a signature bike from RE on a highway, at a speed of 90km/h in between the trucks, and suddenly your brakes are not working when you need them the most. Your life is in DANGER. This is what happened to me 20 days ago while riding on a 4 lac Rs GT 650 which I bought last year.In the very first week, the bike started showing its colors or they say the quality speaks for itself. The bike was switching off regularly while in neutral mode. The service center took 4 days to resolve the issue. In the first five months, the instrument cluster got replaced 2 times after showing different issues. 1 time the sensor got replaced as it was also showing issues regularly. On a highway one day, the bike got broken as the fuel pump was not working, it got towed down to the service center for repair. The fuel pump was also changed after 4 days of trials by the service team. Noise on sudden acceleration from the engine and lack of power is something that is there from the very beginning. In recent days I got lucky to save my life on a busy highway as the braking system of the bike failed to work multiple times. When I showed it to the service center they said everything is working fine and returned the bike. After this, I again faced the same issue and took the bike to the service center. After keeping the bike with themselves for 8-10 days the service guy told me that there is some major issue with the bike as there is some issue with the Gear system of the bike and they will have to send the bike to the main Rithala, Delhi-based service center. After almost 20 days, they are saying that they will have to open the engine to find out the issue as there is some problem with the acceleration system in the gearbox. Now, tell me after spending a good 4 lac Rs I got this crap, and right after the purchase I am running to the different service centers to get the issue resolved. I accepted everything till now all the hustles all the problems I accepted but one thing I cannot accept at any cost is that my bike's engine will be opened for repair. I am an avid biker and people ask me every time for a review of this bike and till now I have nothing good to say about it or about the company.

Good for young riders.Loading riding little difficultExpecting better sitting.I have been on Ladhak trips once. But it's difficult to for long rides. If you planning to show off small trips it's a good option and a heavy classic look. It's one of my favorites. Don't go offroad. It's a vintage classy babe I really love to ride.

I don’t know on what occasion I bought this. It's been just a year and I have sent it to service through rsa for 7 times on the record and multiple times on my own. After a month of usage, I got that fuel pump issue, next time sensor and for 5 consecutive times it's always a starting issue, it won't just start. Not even after when rsa guy tries it with another battery.Would never ever recommend this bike to anyone, pathetic service for royal enfield. How come these premium bikes are the worst?

Pros :1. I did an upgrade from Classic 350 to Continental GT. As expected RE Engine is quite sturdy and genuine. Doesn't disappoint in that area.2. Retro look of GT is eye-catching and associated with unique motor sound.3. Handling is pretty smooth on highways.Cons :1. Sitting posture is not at all comfortable for long rides. It affects wrists, elbows, and the spine for a shorter duration. Interceptor outsmarts GT at this point.2. Average is another downfall. You can expect around 18-19 km/l in the city and 21-22 km/l, considering persistent driving.3. Maintenance tends to be on the higher side as compared to other RE Models and the rest of the bikes as well.
