  • My personal experience after owning the bike

    Sravan

    My personal experience
    Variant - metro dapper
    Color - white
    Onroad price - 199k ( 163k bike + 15k insurance + 20k rto )
Accesories bought - engine guard small
    My height - 5'11
    My weight - 85
So, first of all, I never owned a royal enfield before so when I planned on buying a retro-style bike I finalized 3 bikes: hunter 350, classic 350, tvs ronin. I took a test ride of all 3 bikes and felt classic but a bit heavy because i mostly ride the bike in cities so took it out of consideration. Then, I really really felt tvs ronin was a solid bike with tons of features and 100% value for money but one thing that hassled me which its brand value. If I want to sell ronin in the future to buy a new bike then the resale value felt low so I considered hunter 350 and it felt straightforward to drive too.. Some people said this bike is for guys who are short like 5'3 - 5'7 range but for my height of 5'11 I feel no problem and the bike suits me really well to me: no leg pains or cramps. So anyways talking about my driving experience with the hunter, I was getting around 29,30 mileage per liter till the first service then I got around 33 after the first service. The 350cc engine is so so so good. It's very smooth and the pickup it gives in 4th gear is just wow. The exhaust sound in the first 2 gears is very nice and it's good in the top gear too but we miss the dug dug sound which classic gives better.. No complaints though fully satisfied. Then coming to accesories. I faced a major major issue which is foot rest for ladies. When my mom or someone aged wants to sit on the bike with a saree then there is no footrest available officially from the royal enfield side and even no 3rd party footrests found so far.. Have to look for one eventually.. It has stiff suspension.. As a rider, I don't feel any hardness but pillions said they feel the thump at speed breakers. The seat is soft though .. I like the braking very much.. It's responsive but the clutch feels a little hard especially when we use it multiple times in traffic the fingers will start cramping.. It's subjective anyways if you are strong then you may not feel it. Coming to tyres and grip, yes it corners well. It's not a sports bike but it has a very very good grip while leaning at corners. The headlight is great at night too. The indicators are working fine. I see people complaining about engine heating issues but I don't see any such issues.. Sometimes slight heat but it's normal on every bike. Also, I see many people complaining about a number of fiber parts, and panels used in the hunter but hey, retro variant starts at 149k and metro at 163k. Do you really want to complain about fiber parts at this price? giving a 350cc engine for 150k is really good. Don't expect wonders at the price by comparing this bike with honda highness, meteor, classic etc.. Those bikes cost 50k more. If royal enfield puts 50k more into hunter then hunter will also have all metal panels but making affordable city commuters is their priority and I feel they did their job pretty well and this is a decent bike from royal enfield.

  • Breaking noise issue

    Subranshu Yadav

I have recently purchased Hunter 350 Rebel Red. The bike was working fine until the third service. After the third service, there is a scratching noise coming from the rear brake caliper at slow speeds. This issue became major at 12500 kms. I took my bike to the dealership and they repaired the brake caliper as it was scratching the disc which was creating the noise. After driving 10 more kms, the same issue is coming with the noise. The dealership's response is very poor. They take these issues very lightly and say that these are common issues with new models.

  • Low ground clearance makes this bike the 2nd choice

    Shubham

Everything is great..Nice performance nice torque.. Nice looks but while buying I missed the most important aspect of practicality and for that, I regret it whenever I cross a speed breaker..At the time of paying money, I didn't check its ground clearance if I had checked I would definitely go for another bike. Whenever I ride it with a pillion it gets bumped on almost every speed breaker and I feel pity for myself.
I would suggest every one of you.. Don't go by the name and design of the bike, it's okay to like but consider practicality before you buy.

    Harsh Patel

hello there, I'm an owner of Metro variant rebel blue.
I just completed 1st service at 500km and I just faced negative behavior & service by RE workshop at another point bike is really good to go for a ride. Compared to other RE bikes it has less vibration and pick-up is soo good. Caution: Hunter is not for overspeeding if you're a bike traveler, that's a perfect bike for a long tour.

Really good ride. Comfortable and nimble. It was really easy to purchase and i got the number plate very quick as well. It gets of really quick and is the perfect cruiser. Very comfortable seat. One drawback is that there is no space for storage but that is not a major issue. I had my first service done and RE values their customers as lot.

  • Genuine user review normal user not a rider office user once a while long tripper350 km

    Darshan

Pros: looks good, comparatively less weight with other re-bikes,
Exhaust and initial pick up just wow.
The gear system is awesome.. You don't have to change continuously like other bikes.
Never faced any issues with ground clearance. Even in high humps and bad roads.
Cons: if you ride more than 10 km it's going to hurt your hand's palms badly.
You will definitely feel cramps or numbness in your palms for sure.
As time goes you will start dropping your initial love for this bike.
Not good for long rides. Palms are going to hurt for sure.
Suspension is on the harder side but can be compromised.
Seating posture can also be compramised at certein extend.
    Anyway in the last.
Good for test rides. You will just say wow I need this only and you will reject all the other shortlisted bikes.
But I don't recommend it for long rides and users who need comfortable rides,
Of course, there are people who like r15 with sporty postures more than this ...For them, it would be fine.
But matured users I will never recommend this bike.

  • An attractive compromise!

    Shyam

    Buying experience - (dapper ash)
The staff was nonattentive as there is huge demand. Once you get a salesperson to help they convince you to buy the top Rebel variant, accessories, insurance, extended warranty, etc. Which I declined as local shops offer a better deal. On the road, it came to 2.2 lacs.
    Riding experience -
The engine is full of torque and gives you same the feel as riding a classic 350 i.E. Attention and torque with poor mileage. The cruising speed is 80kmph higher than that brakes will not be helpful. The bike is designed for cities but the potholes and speed breakers are not its best friends. Ground clearance is low for a bike meant to be ridden in a city. Pillion comfort is terrible as the seats are uncomfortable and the ladies' footrest is absent. Summer riding in shorts will definitely give you a waxing engine that heats up and can be felt on calves.
    Details about looks, performance, etc.
It looks attractive and certainly catches the attention of people but, sometimes in a bad way as jealousy scratches and dirt splashes are very common. The solo ride is amazing on highways but the city rides are stiff, difficult to manage, and feel the need for a slipper clutch. Mileage is standard royal enfield 24-28 km. Pillion comfort is seriously missing. Missing tachometer and basic information on the instrument cluster and poor quality materials on side panels disappointment from royal enfield on a 2.2 lacs bike.
    Servicing and maintenance
Standard royal enfield service and maintenance costs are affordable. The bike if maintained well would not give trouble. The staff is decent the job gets done.
    Bottom line -
If you are looking for a fun royal Enfield motorbike around 2.2 lacs it is a great fit for you minus the "practicality".

  • My dad hasn't touched his old bike since the day i bought hunter.

    Akshansh Pawar

This was my first time buying a royal enfield and I was never a fan of these retro-looking bikes I always dreamt that I would be owing a sport bike but when i looked at hunter and took its test drive i just fell in love. Its looks, its power, its handle everything was just awesome. Then I booked the bike and got delivered in 10 days. When i took the bike to my home and my dad took the ride he was loving the bike and from that day my father haven't touched his bike.
As a first-time enfield buyer, my buying experience was very good at re. I have ridden this bike over 1000 km now and i can say its very good for daily computer purposes. The braking is really good. The engine is great torque is well controlled powerful yet not too much. And the exhaust note is amazing. It has original re-thumping and loud sound.
And talking about the looks of this bike... It's a real head turner i own the rebel blue colour and its very much an attention seeker. Some people stopped me while driving asking about the bike.
These was all the pros of the bike...
There are some cons as well...
Such as the fuel gauge is very bad on this one it shows 4 bar directly from 1 bar on refill of just 300rs.
Headlights and indicators should be led. Its not bad though but feels good to got led after spending that much money.
The rear tyre throw a lot of mud upto the rear seat, in rain had to wash it every 3rd day.
The Clutch is a traditional wet multi-plate clutch that feels too heavy slipper clutch would be better.
Had done the first service which cost me 1700 approx.
After all this bike is a complete package if you are looking for a sportier bike with a mix of retro styling.

I booked the hunter 350 on the 9th of august 2022 and gave it 5 stars purely based on looks, specifications, and buying experience.
Booked it at the royal enfield, worli, Mumbai showroom. I thought it would take more than an hour but the whole process without a test ride was done in 45 minutes, as of now very happy with the customer service.

  • Genuine user review normal user not a rider office user once a while long tripper350 km

    Tips for other riders

If buying this bike keeps the bike-fueled all time. Avoid too many modifications that may cause serious damage to the engine such as the installation of the wrong exhaust.
