My second re machine. First sm650 owner from tamilnadu.
Dhinesh
Writing this after 5 months of riding. My second royal enfield machine. No compromise in quality. Best riding experience on highways. Comfort and energy are amazing. Yes, it's having stiff shocks, which is correct for long roads without bumps but get seat modification has compensated for the stiffness. As you all know this bike is for longer rides so each and everything is designed for that particular purpose. Feeling great as the first Super Meteor 650 owner of Tamilnadu.Buying: booked on rider mania 2022/goa, so in the first owner in tamil nadu bike got delivered in feb-23. Smooth transaction, but waited for 2 months to get the accessories.Riding: really comfortable on long rides, no pain, sores, and all. Well designed for long rides.Meaty look, and great pulling power even higher rpm. Gearing is very easy no stops in any gears for any rpm. Good tuning than into and county. The first service was done, around 3k. After the first service engine heating issue is literally reduced.Pros: perfectly designed for long rides. No comparison or competition for a long driver bike in 4.2 lacks on road only REcan do such things economically, Cons: waiting period for the bike as well as accessories. Nothing else I found

Very powerful and refined engine

I got my Super Meteor 650 on 08/10/23. CONS: I have faced multiple issues with high speeds, especially with the windshield, which is a joke for sure, wind always hits your face and the headlight is even an utter joke at night times especially if you ride while riding in the rain at manufacturer made a grave mistake giving an underpowered headlights. A touring seat is a must as after 200-250 km you will feel sore on your lower back and buttocks, worst part for pillion riders, the stock seat will numb your lower back if you sit as a pillion and with a pillion rider you might experience a road hump hitting your bike even with experience and short turning radius will give you fatigue at city rides. Many extra accessories are still not available at showrooms yet so have to wait for months to collect them (still waiting for touring seats and foot pegs), LED headlights are damn delicate, you cannot replace them easily as accessories are not available at the showroom in Mysore, Karnataka.PROS: You will experience a mid-level cruiser on highways if you are at 70-80 kmph, you don't even have to shift gear while overtaking, the bike's power is awesome, mileage is awesome on highways, can cruise easily at 90-110. Even at hill station roads, you can easily maneuver at lower speeds. Has great pick-up and a relaxed position.

Rolling Like Thunder: My Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Odyssey in India
1 year ago
Shourya Kumar
Thrumming beneath me, the Super Meteor's exhaust hums a symphony of freedom. Owning this cruiser in India since its 2023 launch has been an electrifying adventure, full of twists and turns, just like the roads I've conquered. Here's my insider take, covering everything from the thrill of buying to the grit of servicing, as a fellow Super Meteor rider in this beautiful chaos we call India.1. Buying Experience:The showroom felt like a cathedral, the Meteor gleaming like a chrome altar on display. The purchase process was a smooth ride, although the waitlist did test my patience a tad. But finally, there I was, keys in hand, ready to christen the open road.2. Riding Experience:Ah, the ride! First thing that hits you is the comfort. The low seat and stretched-out posture embrace you like a leather armchair. Twisting the throttle unleashes a surge of smooth power, not a fire-breathing beast, but a steady companion. Handling is surprisingly nimble, carving through cityscapes with ease. On highways, the Meteor cruises like a majestic ship, wind whispering tales in your helmet.3. Looks & Performance:Let's face it, the Meteor turns heads. The classic silhouette, sculpted tank, and chrome accents are pure cruiser eye candy. Performance matches the aesthetics – it's not a speed demon, but the 650cc engine packs enough punch for confident overtaking and spirited sprints. The exhaust purrs a low growl, a constant reminder of the beast beneath.4. Servicing & Maintenance:Here's where things get a little bumpy. Finding experienced mechanics for this new steed can be tricky. The first service was smooth, but subsequent ones felt like navigating a maze of checklists and explanations. Parts availability can be an occasional hiccup, especially for non-essential accessories. However, Royal Enfield's service network is steadily expanding, so hopefully, things will smoothen out.5. Pros & Cons:Pros:Comfort: Feels like your living room on wheels, perfect for long hauls.Handling: Surprisingly agile for its size, nimble in traffic and stable on highways.Looks: Classic cruiser charm, turns heads everywhere you go.Performance: Smooth, reliable engine with enough power for everyday riding.Community: A growing tribe of Meteor riders across India, camaraderie on the road.Cons:Heat Management: The engine can get quite toasty in Indian summers, especially in stop-and-go traffic.Ground Clearance: Be cautious of large speed bumps and potholes.Servicing: Learning curve for finding skilled mechanics and dealing with occasional parts availability issues.Power: Not a speed demon, might not thrill adrenaline junkies.Verdict:The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is a cruiser with a soul. It's not perfect, but its flaws are overshadowed by its charm, comfort, and the sheer joy of cruising Indian roads. If you're looking for a timeless companion to explore the vast tapestry of landscapes our country offers, the Meteor won't disappoint. Just be prepared for the occasional heat wave and service quirks.Overall, I wouldn't trade my Super Meteor for anything. It's more than just a bike; it's a passport to adventure, a testament to the unyielding spirit of the open road, and a rumbling reminder that life is best lived on two wheels. So, fellow riders hit the streets, let the wind brush your face, and experience the magic of the Super Meteor. Just remember, it's not the destination, but the journey that matters, and with this cruiser by your side, every mile is an adventure waiting to be written.Ride safe, ride free!

Super meteor
Shahnowaz Gharami
launch has been an electrifying adventure, full of twists and turns, just like the roads I've conquered. Just remember, it's not the destination, but the journey that matters, and with this cruiser by your side, every mile is an adventure waiting to be written.Ride safe, ride free!Rating Parameters(out of 5)5Visual Appeal4Reliability5Comfort4Service Experience4Value for MoneyAbout the ReviewerUsed it forLeisure RidesOwned for6 months-1 yrRidden for< 5000 kmsTips for other ridersGeneral Care: Wash regularly: Use a gentle car wash soap and avoid harsh chemicals.

Make sure you apply oil at chains every 200-250 km, and please go for PPF coating rather than ceramic coating. Make sure you calculate your mileage and fill the petrol accordingly fuel gauge will be at fault while riding in the rain
