I have been the owner of RTR 160 2v for 1 year. I will say my experience is very good and my First impression was very Good. I will discuss the pros and cons directly.Pros: 1. Looks, Comfort, and Posture are great.2. Pillionseat is also comfortable and Every pillion of mine is satisfied. 3. Initial acceleration is impressive and beyond expectations. Seriously it will feel like a high-end sports bike in the initial. 0-60kmph in almost 5 seconds.Top speed: 125kmph(mine), but it will go more like 130+.4. The exhaust sound is very soothing and sweet, feels like a very good exhaust.5. Smooth engine and gear shifts make the ride very addictive.6. It has 3 modes urban, rain and sport. Every mode is perfect for their situation.7. Suspension also works well.Cons:1. Mileage is not as good as the company says. I ride in sports mode almost all the time and give about 33-35kmpl. And it gives around 38kmpl in urban and rain. But it will not affect you cause the feel of the bike is very soothing.2. This bike needs good control, cause the acceleration is not easy to handle at first. Conclusion: If you are a college student or in your 20s and you want to get a sporty commuter bike and good acceleration and speed you will definitely love this. You will love this as I do seriously.

The wonderful and powerful creation by the team tvs
6 years ago
Pramod Tikotikar
Cheers to tvs team for making such a beautiful, powerful bike “apache rtr160”. It is one of its kinds. A year back i decided to purchase new bike, and the next thought was apache because of its performance, word of mouth and the awards it has grabbed in these many years. As every biker dreamt of going a bike trip to leh-ladhak, i too wished to and decided few months back. After lot of research and discussions with many people, it was very hard to conclude which bike to take along. And it’s a myth that only big bikes can pull for those roads and climate. So i decided, i will take my own bike along and take a road trip. The route i took was, chandigarh-manali-leh-srinagar-jammu-pathankot-chandigarh with approximately covering 2400kms. Believe me, it was one of the best experience of my life. The only companion with me was my bike, yeah it was solo ride. Before starting from bengaluru, i completely serviced my bike at rajajinagar service center and i was sure that everything was up to the mark. It may be about tires, engine oil, carburetor, clutch and accelerator wires, spark plug, fuse, head light and indicators. The service advisor patiently and calmly assisted and guided me well. Thanks for that!On the day of start at chandigarh, i again checked with few important parts and had kept accessories in my kit. From chandigarh to manali it is 330kms and approximately takes 9hrs of journey because of the road and traffic in the ghats. Initial 100kms was plane and quadrilateral road and after that i entered to the dangerous ghats. I was climbing hills and moving away from sea level. Reached manali the next day and checked with the local mechanic for necessary changes for those kinds of roads.Let me explain you how the roads were, i think you will experience all kinds of roads viz., slippery, muddy, off roads with maximum number of stones and pot holes, water crossings in between, and finally tar roads also. The average speed of any bike would be 30kmph. For any bikers who wish to take a ride and experience all kinds of pleasure under the sun, i would recommend the manali to leh route which is approximately 475kms but you definitely need 2 days to cover. The support from your bike in those roads is very important because you don’t get any garage, petrol filling station in between 350kms, hospitals. Its jus you, your bike and eyes full of mountains. And the support from my apache rtr160 was fantabulous. Due to lack of air and oxygen, sufficient amount of air will not pass through carburetor causing pressure on engine, i did not face any problem in the whole journey in any kind of roads and climate for that matter. I crossed many deadliest passes in the world viz., rohtang, baralachla, tanglangla, khardungla, changla and zozilla. But my bike was moving sticking to the road with good mileage too. Many big bikes were stuck in water crossing and unable to start the engine due to water flow into the silencer and faced many problems but when it comes to mine, it was moving like spark in those flowing, deep water crossings. In few places the climate was around 2 degree centigrade, and due to cold many of other riders were struggling to start the engine in the morning but i could start my bike in a single kick and i am not exaggerating. It is really fact. I saw many wow expressions on the faces of people i interacted in my total journey for the bike i considered for this trip.Totally it was package of lots of memories, thrill, adventure, pain, tension, and smile on face as a return gift. Thank you tvs team for designing such a wonderful, powerful bike. Keep moving.

I bought this bike in 2012 when there was very less option available for a 150cc bike so i decided to go for it. I bought the bike and wort every penny i spend on it. The riding posture is great the performance is raw the only problem with this bike is vibration at 5k+ rpm while riding this a boom thrill and entertainment the mileage is also good it gives me 40kmpl in city and 45kmpl on highway's overall it a great bike and still an option to consider. The maintenance of the is also not that high and once maintained the bike vibrates a little less. Everything is great with this bike seating is great sporty. The only con is the vibration.

I bought this bike in 2018. This bike is very good in overall performance. And I buy this bike in 98000 around 1 lakh. My bike riding experience has been very good starting 2 years ago but after 2 to till now. I spend around 2 lakh for his maintenance. This is highly costly. But the bike performance is very good and the bike looks good just like a Cat Face. But sometimes I am disappointed with his service and maintenance because when I entered the service room. My bike function is not working properly after exiting for service. But overall this bike is very good. Performance is good.

TVS Apache RTR 160

Apache bike looks good, it is fun to drive, seat comfort is also good, it is special at all in long drives, there is no problem with the bike but the work in their service center is a little less, it is true TVS company. One should pay attention to their service center. If they come across bike-related parts they will never get it.

The wonderful and powerful creation by the team tvs
