    1.Now buying(after gst):

When i bought this it was around 93k in my city but after gst it drop 10k so this is the golden chance to buy that bike with bs4 model.

    2.Riding:

I would like to say that this bike have great experience for any rider like it is lie in between sport and basic bikes. The handling and performance is best.I ride it 5000 km and feel no change that reason to realize me that it is 1yrs old bike. The mileage is 45 to 50 kmpl if u ride in between 45 to 55 kmph speed or if u ride 60 to 85 it will give you 36kmph.

    3.Looks :

As i say the bikes look compete with sports and basic both bikes if i say about my colleague friends they have 1st option for the apache-rtr. In white color it is looking like a white horse the headlamp is going to blow up your eye in night. The main things has the bike as lacks the only vibration at more than 85 speed i wish company should looks on it.

4.Performance and maintenance:bike has 159.7cc engine so it is just costly then a standard bike of 125 cc .But in india bike is going to common so as we know the quantity bring the cheapest price for maintaining. The chain of this bike should be changed after 2000km of rides. And the proper maintenance brings smothered performance of the bike and good pickup rate and mileage.

5.Overall *:the bike as awesome looks and design, bike available in customer to more option like front disk only, various colors etc.It has good mileage than other competence.Only lack of the bike is vibration during high speed.

Tvs lunched abs in it's 160 rtr. It is old model but i have seen that here is hype of this bike many people were buying this Because it is cheapest bike which gives performance like a racing bike. Sitting position is not so comfortable but it looks very aggressive Which is best part of this bike. Cons, plastic is cheap.

Tvs apache 160 is awsome to ride and no vibration when drive and it's looking is very impressive, performance is best than other similar bikes what i feel myself. Servicing cost is very low and maintenance is affordable not much more. I am using this bike from last 1 year and already crossed 45000 km and usually it's good for anywhere.

  • Reality review of rtr 160

    Harish Ram

At first, i was really excited to buy this bike as it had been a dream for more than 6 years. My riding experience with this bike is good but when you cross 80+ it starts to vibrate slightly. The drl which looks like an angry eye of a predator and the muscular body design looks pretty good but according to the performance, i had touched 124kmph with this bike it delivers a mileage of 40 - 45km/l which is quite enough for me. The first five services cost approx. of 300 rs each and the maintenance cost is pretty low on this bike. The instrument cluster provides all the basic needs except the gear position indicator and it's an analog-digital console. Now let's talk about the pros of this bike:-
(performance) - the bike is extremely responsive to the throttle inputs and will definitely satisfy most of the hardcore riders.
(build quality) - the tvs apache rtr 160 boasts commendable built quality and ages really well over time. The plastics used are of good quality and so are other critical mechanical components. In all, the overall built quality of the tvs apache 160 is better than most of its rivals.
(parts replacement) - the parts are not very expensive to replace and their availability is not a major concern.
(practical urban performance commuter) - the rtr 160 has a compact footprint, scores high in overall agility, and offers a decent fuel economy. All this, clubbed together, makes it a practical and a good choice for those who are looking for a performance-packed bike for the urban commute.
    Cons:-
(not a tvs engine) - the engine of apache is the engine of suzuki fiero a (Japanese)motorcycle launched in the year 2000.
(engine refinement) - the fuel-injected engine powering the rtr 160 is extremely powerful and responsive, giving the bike some incredible performance. However, this motor lacks the refinement and smoothness levels and does tend to vibrate a lot when pushed hard.
(brakes) - while the overall performance is great, the brakes on the other hand feel very spongy and lack the feel and feedback levels that a rider would expect. The braking performance is decent but the feel-feedback offered from the brakes should have been better.
According to my suggestion, you can also compare this motorcycle with its new generation the apache rtr 160 4v which offers a fully digital instrument cluster and a four-valve engine that produce 17.63 ps of power and 14.73 nm of torque this bike can cross 135+ when accelerated furiously the price of this bike is approximately 5000 - 7000 rs higher than apache 160 2v. The apache 160 4v has an oil-cooled engine while the apache 160 has an air-cooled engine while the apache 160 2v gives a mileage of 2 to 5 km/l more than apache rtr 160 4v
But both these bikes don't suit taller riders. The design of 160 4v is as same as the design of apache 200 4v on the other hand the 160 4v had an led setup and an led drl at the head while the 160 2v had a halogen setup with led drl at the front.
Hope you guys this review had helped you

Never delay oil change. In your intervals of 2500, 3500 or 5000( depends on the oil you use, always replace oil when its time is up. This will save you clutch plate changes and other costs. dont force gear shifts, always pull the clutch fully before shifting, i see a lot of guys using half clutch which can screw up things. used 3–4 local mechanics, but official tvs service fellows always do the best job, always stick to the official service guys.

    Tips for other riders

Never delay oil change. In your intervals of 2500, 3500 or 5000( depends on the oil you use, always replace oil when its time is up. This will save you clutch plate changes and other costs. dont force gear shifts, always pull the clutch fully before shifting, i see a lot of guys using half clutch which can screw up things. used 3–4 local mechanics, but official tvs service fellows always do the best job, always stick to the official service guys.
