My new apache rtr 200 gets the same 197.5 cc single-cylinder engine which produces 20.21 bhp on the carburettor variant .The torque output remains 18.1 nm. Tvs will offer the slipper clutch technology on the carburettor variant. The apache rtr 200 4v is the first motorcycle in its class to get a slipper clutch or an 'anti-reverse torque unit' as how tvs calls it. It reduces the force used to operate the clutch by 22 per cent, make the upshifts quicker and lowers wheel-hopping when downshifting aggressively and while cornering as well. The riding position and comfort is quite well. The body looks muscular and attractive.I prefer the matte red variant. The maintenance cost is quite low. It gives a mileage of 40 kmpl..The pros are slipper clutch ,dual channel abs, full digital instrumental console..Cons include mileage ..But good in 200cc.

  • Better don't buy. Don't go by looks

Buying experience wasn't good. Showroom guys created unnecessary hype,After delivery, bike was getting over heated, Had issue with great shift indicator,Handlebar was not proper. Even though quality of parts is good but they are not assembled properly. You wont get proper balance when breaking. Bike pickup is to good but not good at controlling. Sad part is i bought this bike with lot of excitement but had worse experience. I visited server center number of times to get the issue resolved but they didn't. In fact they doesn't know how to fix the issue, every time they say only one thing. You drive for few days, come back if you still have issue after whole day wait.Once they changed clutch plate as i reported a problem in gear shifting. After that i was unable to switch gear from 4th to 3rd, 3rd to 2nd vice versa. Some time when i shift it from 2nd to 1st it will go to neutral. If you wanna drive any bike in neutral, my suggestion would be rtr 200 4v. None of the other bike has this feature. I was fed up, i had no strength to visit showroom almost every weekend expecting the issue would resolve. But it didn't happen. Finally i sold this stupid bike. My life's biggest mistake.Guys on paper this bike is good, in real bike is worse. Please don't go by looks. I have made many complaints but no one will respond. Asked for replacing it but they will laugh at you.

    Devendra Goswami

It's been 3 years and 6-month experience with this bike now. I feel the power is less and the bike part especially the silencer is very noisy. I do the service every time in TVS Ahinsha service center but they can't solve my problem till now and very bad experience with TVS Ahinsha service center. And the time is automatically changing every time by itself.

I own a bs4 apache RTR Race edition 2.0. Buying experience for me was alright.
When i started to talk about riding it, it is sublime. The exhaust note and engine wants me to go harder. On other hand it handles bad roads in better way than most of the bikes. The mid range of the bike is the star. Bottom range torque is good which helps to get back off the start. As I own the bs4 bike I like it. New one also looks good, I don't know what's going with eyebrows of the bs6 bike. If I am not wrong the bs4 some what looks like gsx-s750. Maintaining the bike in today's world is pocket friendly. The petrol prices now a days are hard to believe, have maintained mine one with utmost care. As apache was the bike i fell in love it. I have driven the first gen 160 rtr which was raw and get same feeling of rawness in my apache in robust manner.
Well the bikes has many pros. So i will write the small niggles i felt.
    1) side stand little short, when put on stand it felt it will fall.
    2) the gear position indicator seems to get confused in n, 1, 2 rest time it's fine.
Overall it's a value purchase and has a heart of fighter.

After researching several bikes in 200cc segment, I found apache 200cc 4v is the best one. The good thing about this bike is that its 4v oil-cooled engine which keeps the engine refined at higher rpm and long rides continuously. The bike is stable. Performance and mileage are nice on the highway and as well as in the city. Overall I got a mileage of about 40 kmpl in all aspects. Headlights are too good for night rides. The ground clearance of this bike is also good as compared to all other bikes in this segment. From my point of view if you want a pocket-friendly sports bike in all aspects. I surely recommend this bike without researching any other bike. Purchased this bike in the year 2021. I run this bike for about 9k .

Buying Experience was nice and the showroom representative give a warm welcome to me. cost around 1.39 lakhs and yes it does the job for its price .
riding experience is top notch in this bike. with the ART slipper clutch the shifts are butter smooth also the gear box also. The Gear box boasts of only 5 gears (a reason for not having 6th gear is to keep the pricing low and to stay alive in the competition without compromising any other features) the exhaust sound and all are very eye catching one .
It have a decent looking while comparing to its competitors. Sharp Edged designs and the colours (I've bought the black and red one) are very good. The Performance is absolutely superb. The Engine Is so nice and very good one if taken care correctly. I've only completed a few KM's and I will soon post a detailed review .
