    Bikram

I understand there might be confusion between ns200 and rtr 2004v. However if you are someone like me who have to travel daily for office and other stuffs, i d like to recommend to go with rtr 200. This bike is very responsive at traffic and have a sharp design which makes the bike significant on the road. I have made tours on this bike to.. To be honest that's a far better experience than ns200.

  • Review after riding 70,000 kms

    Anurag Sarmah

Being an early customer of this bike I have the BS IV avatar of this bike. It's been 5 years and nearly 70,000 kms and I have used it for most everything from daily commuting to long rides which contains riding on mountains, mud, sludge, water crossings and much more. For me, this bike is pure love. It gives me so many memories that probably I will keep them forever. It's a great bike for everything, a perfect all-rounder and mostly a perfect companion for me. I took this bike to some most remote places it never breaks down or stops in the middle of nowhere.
    Pros: -
    1. It's ready for everything bike. You can throw anything into it and every time it performs outstandingly well.
    2. It looks like a much bigger bike than its rivals all thanks to its muscular looks.
    3. The fuel efficiency of this machine is just amazing. On highways, it gives me upto 52 kmpl mileage at an average speed of 70-80 km/hr . Which is phenomenal for a 200 cc motor.
    4. The quick accelerating engine of this bike can demolish any of its rivals easily >
    5. It's a fun-to-ride bike with ample performance in any gear.
    6. The duel barrel exhaust adds the main character to this bike. It's not one of but it's the one and only best-sounding bike in its segment.
    7. The front adsorber from KYB added great comfort to your ride but the rear mono-shock is a little bit stiff.
    8. Rider seat of this bike is great. I had ride this bike for 14 hours almost nonstop but never felt any discomfort 8.th
    9. The riding position of this bike is good for daily commutes as well as long rides.
    10. It's a value-for-money bike in every aspect.
    11. The fit and finish of this bike are top-notch.
    12. High raving engine of this bike puts a smile on your face every time you ride it.
    13. The segment-leading features like slipper clutch, Riding modes, BT connectivity.. etc on its newer variants make it the features-packed option.
    Cons :
    1. Maintaining this machine is costlier than its rivals.
    2. Rear mono-shock is stiff.
    3. Though it has a kerb weight of 152 kg it feels heavy to maneuver.
    4. Though it has great for highways this bike doesn't like city riding at all. It feels heavier, the ride becomes unrefined, you have to play with the gears more, and lastly, the mileage drops drastically.
    5. It completely misses out on top-end performance. It hardly touches 130 km/h mark.
    6. Though the new models feel a lot more refined but in my BS IV model There's a ton of vibration from footpegs, handlebar, and tank, especially in higher rpms.
    7. Headlight performance BS IV model is not that upto the mark.
    8. Chain sprockets and the chain wears out quickly.
    9. Pillion seat is not as comfy as the rider ones.
    10. Till 50,000 - 55,000 kms there are no major problems but after that, I faced several issues with the engine.
    11. The major servicing was done on about 60k kms where I have to change the piston and valves, and complete the engine block assembly.
    Upgrades :
    1. Headlight bulb: Philips h4 12v 60/55w
    2. Auxiliary light: HJC
    3. Bar end mirrors: Allextreme (foldable ones )
    4. Tyres : Pirelli Angel CT (one of the best and costliest upgrades I have)
    5. Chain kit ( Rolon )

  • My 40000 km's experience and love for rtr 200

    Tarun Gupta

I bought carb rtr 200 without a test drive on the basis of the reviews. I always wanted to have a matte black color but due to unavailability I end up buying matte red. This bike has a character tank shape look like a shark face and grunt from exhaust more you rev it more enjoy the exhaust note. I have driven this bike over 40000 km's in day to day traffic this bike performed well and also has a power to overtake on highways. I was impressed with service from tvs this bike can maintained with the nominal cost under 1k, if it is out of free service however you can option for to get some discounts on the parts. I always had a issue with the gear sensor till now however it was replaced earlier once by TVs on free of charge basis for all the rtr 200s. I m feeling jealous my friends own new fi variant rtr200 and he gets mileage over 42 km/l and because of fi engine is feels like butter wherein I am getting 34-38 km/l. Compare to new one engine is bit buzzy but that can be sorted out with the good engine oil and good spark plug to improve the instant response. My experience was good with the bike because it was maintained. Hope this experience may help you to decide your next ride.

Best naked street fighter in the segment. Enjoying the ride. The comfort, the looks it offers is just amazing. The bike comes with a good braking system and the 0- 60 time is very less indeed as said by the bike makers.I completely think that this bike is completely value for money.Enjoying the ride since past few months

This is the best oil cooled engine and best pickup should get best control and to cheap rate and this you can get different colour and abs ,less maintenance. Can take for going long rides and can go for off road trips. Best to handle to control smoothness is awesome mileage also giving best . Sports addition of race bike.
