Yamaha Cygnus Ray ZR

I purchased this scooty 1 month before the bs6 version. This is the lightest scooty of the segment. Riding is very smooth and excellent. Robotic looks of this scooty makes the difference from all others but 2 thing is that there is no usb charger. you have to purchase it and another one is halogen light. No led but otherwise everything is perfect.

Buying was okay. Bought it mainly on looks, not so keen on other, retro styled scooters. Foot space is excellent for transporting big shopping bags. Using it everyday for shopping, going into town and little tours. Easy to ride and has excellent handling. Power sufficient (used to ride fast motorcycles so performance is relative).Engine smooth enough, top speed around 95 km. Mileage 45-50 .After warranty expired doing service by myself. Changing oil before every 2000 km, renewed air filter and spark plug at 6000 km and setting valves regularly to keep it smooth and quiet. First time I checked the inlet valve had no free play at all. Overall it's easy to work on bar for the very tightly fixed sparkplug by the factory!!Known problem is the bad quality throttle cable which will become rough and not sliding properly due to low quality outer cable material. Also had to replace an indicator and headlight bulb, for the rest no problems at all. Pros: looks, quality, easy to ride and maintain, excellent foot well space, good brakes. Cons: quality throttle cable, hard to read indicator dash light daytime

Riding experience is very good and comfortable, quality is appreciated by everyone in our family and design of the vehicle is very attractive. Rear brake which also very good maintenance cost is also under permissible limit. Mileage is also acceptable between 45 ~ 50 which I am getting currently. Need to improve the accessory fittings. New It was my three years relationship with ray zr...Till 3rd service i got 15 kmpl mileage due to inefficient service boy...Later i was changed showroom for servicing..When i was survived in street roods i found 53-55kmpl mileage..At national highway it was 66 kmpl.......Sitting arrangement also very comfortable....After one year..Tyres are badly bursted..Both tyres are replaced..Repeatedly every time mileage levels are decreased then it requires servicing...Signals indicator switch and horn switches are always damaged...In a year every switch i was replaced for two to three times....Worst experience with switches....A loud noise from engine is started and it was disturbed entire roadside peoples...For repairing showroom charged 3900/- rupees..Second year. Comfort was missed in this year....Mileage getting down..It was builded with fiber plates.These plates creating irritating sounds during rides ....Disc brake and rear brake getting failed even i was replaced brakes and its cables with new one....**this scooty does not process good resale value...I was purchased it for 70,000...... After one year its resale value is 35000...On second year it resale value is 22000...Worst experience with showrooms for exchange with this is scooty*** pickup is main plus of this scooty ....I loved its pickup..

worst mileage..this 113cc engine segment is powerful but mileage is worse..I get only 32 kmpl. bt my 180 pulsar get 42 kmpl mileage. I think it would gave 45 kmpl above.but my thinking is wrong.i don't talk anymore. and the showroom of my city..maynaguri yamaha showroom near cinemahal para worst showroom I have seen.

Hi guy's i buyed this pathetic bike last year , i can't describe specific problem . Every single thing in terms of spares, engine , the finishing everything is terrible..Let us understand this now in detail.First of all the scooty is too short and it's not recommended to height or average person. Not specially for men . Because i ride this bike for whole day , and i get pain in my leg and back pain for sure 100 % .Second thing if you're an height person than you should be careful while turning the vehicle , basically your legs may touch handle and it may lead to an accident.Now about engine , my bike engine sounds so bad. While just purchase of 4 month's engine turned to machinery noise...That makes you uncomfortable.Last thing yamaha ray zr should be changed to plastic zr.....Shit shit shit....I'm so badly lost my self by buying this shit.Still i am struggling with down payments. Probably i am hardly able to cover-up and clear my loan.
