About the Reviewer

Ridden for (If Owned)

5000-15000 km

Got mileage of

44 kmpl

To be frank I was planning to buy Honda dio at that time but at that time it was unavailable for immediate delivery of the bike so my friend referred this to me as it looks better than that. So I went for this as it comes with better looks, better price and 125 cc and single disk brake. In one word it will be come in to stylish scooters category in less price.

it has a pretty standard price on the basis of its performance, it's is really comfortable but it could be more comfortable if the weight. Its suspension could be worked on , it gives a really bold look heavy looking, it needs time to time maintenance or else it states shaking with screws gettings lose a bit. It has really nice speed pickup better than most in this price range but the mileage could have been better being 40 it is a bit less but it would have been better if it would be at least 50 - 55 kmpl but after all it is a nice scooty and I would really recommend it for sure.

From Buying to current usage, everything is as smooth. The engine body weight is outstanding. The fiber body gives a stylish look and sleek finish to the two-wheeler and the body never gets rusted making the feature great in coastal cities and thus saving a lot on maintenance. On the whole, if anyone is looking for peace of mind while driving, go for a Yamaha cygnus ray zr.

I bought a new bike in Kyrgyssa (1 km), While riding this bike it broke down after 24 km while riding. This happens on a daily basis now, after the first 5-7km, it just overheats and stops. It starts again after a pause of 3 to 5 minutes. Really disturbing experience for me, it is not a "Made in China" product but Japanese hi-tech.

Getting only less than 30kmpl I think they have used a big vacuum-type carburettor like in FZ bike, worst back tyre MRF zapper worn out in just 7000 kmpl poor headlights average breaking even I have disc 2019 Cygnus Ray ZR b629.

  • Lightest scooty with robotic looks

    Souvik Roy

I purchased this scooty 1 month before the bs6 version. This is the lightest scooty of the segment. Riding is very smooth and excellent. Robotic looks of this scooty makes the difference from all others but 2 thing is that there is no usb charger. you have to purchase it and another one is halogen light. No led but otherwise everything is perfect.

Buying was okay. Bought it mainly on looks, not so keen on other, retro styled scooters. Foot space is excellent for transporting big shopping bags. Using it everyday for shopping, going into town and little tours. Easy to ride and has excellent handling. Power sufficient (used to ride fast motorcycles so performance is relative).Engine smooth enough, top speed around 95 km. Mileage 45-50 .After warranty expired doing service by myself. Changing oil before every 2000 km, renewed air filter and spark plug at 6000 km and setting valves regularly to keep it smooth and quiet. First time I checked the inlet valve had no free play at all. Overall it's easy to work on bar for the very tightly fixed sparkplug by the factory!!Known problem is the bad quality throttle cable which will become rough and not sliding properly due to low quality outer cable material. Also had to replace an indicator and headlight bulb, for the rest no problems at all. Pros: looks, quality, easy to ride and maintain, excellent foot well space, good brakes. Cons: quality throttle cable, hard to read indicator dash light daytime

Riding experience is very good and comfortable, quality is appreciated by everyone in our family and design of the vehicle is very attractive. Rear brake which also very good maintenance cost is also under permissible limit. Mileage is also acceptable between 45 ~ 50 which I am getting currently. Need to improve the accessory fittings. Thank you Yamaha.

Awesome.. Using it for last 3.5yrs..excellent grip on road even when go beyond 50-60km/hr...the direction indicator on the meter shows the indication at both direction at the same time, which bugs me!!! It does not show in which side the indicator light is glowing.. you have to memorize it. service is extremely worst.. especially at aquad yamaha, kamarhati, Kolkata...

    My worst decision.
Driving posture easily makes tired and give pain in spinal cord and back bone.
    Mileage is very bad.
and most important its servicing is worst than worst.
Insurance claim process is very slow.
They don't have spare parts of machine in showrooms.
Appearance is good but nothing extra features.

  • Nice and heavy

it has a pretty standard price on the basis of its performance, it's is really comfortable but it could be more comfortable if the weight.

Get some decent tools and learn to do it yourself, it's easy to work on. Change oil at 1500-2000 km, 0.75 liters per change is a good investment for your engine.
