I bought it 3 months back i ride 3000kms+.Brakes are smooth and quick.Acceleration is sufficient for rider upto 100km/hr.Mileage is 50+ when u ride between 50-70.Exhaust note is crispy and smooth engine.Eye catching looks when we ride in city conditions.Awesome bike for me within 150cc segments below 1.2 lakhs .My show room price is 1.18lakhs bs6 version dark matt blue. Its better than pulsar and tvs on any day in city.

    Prakash

Everything is fine but it not suitable to ride while raining or mud road as this bike is not designed to indian climate, no proper rear mudguard, water is coming up from rear. Even i contacted yamaha service center for full rear mud guard but they said there no full mud guard for this yamaha fz-s v3.. Its so disappointed me. You cannot ride with double.. If you do u will get scolds from ur pillion as i got coz mud water splashing to his legs and back.

I owned this bike in june'19 from one of the prominent yamaha dealer in north kolkata. I use this bike for daily office commute. After riding for 6 months i feel this bike is not worth the price i paid. Here is my overall experience with yamaha dealer and bike:1. Buying experience - very poor, the dealer took almost 40 days to get the bike registered. And finally i had to visit local mv office to collect the rc after 3 months.2. Up to 50 kmph you feel like bike is lord of the road but beyond that you will feel like this bike is struggling hard to move forward. You feel like this when you are riding for more than 5 mins on highway.3. Look wise it is not so bad. But as this is a mat finished it becomes dusty everyday. Due to this my bike's fuel tank and mud guards will looks like 10 years old just after 6 months and plastics started making noise.4. Servicing and maintenance - my experience with yamaha service is very poor. As per the warranty condition of this bike you have to avail services from yamaha service center only. That includes 1 year free + 1 year paid service. For first 1 years free service it is not actually free. On every free service they will charge you for 'chain cleaning' and chain lube separately and that comes around 360 + tax. In my recent service they had charged me for fuel injection cleaning charge also and as per yamaha these are legitimate cost every owner have to pay. I am afraid how much i have to pay post free service period. 5. Pros - upto 50kmph bike is very good and in city ride this is fine. Cons - by its design this bike get dirty and dusty very easily - very poor performance when driving at more than 50 kmph - covered by cheap plastics which start looks like 10 year old just after 6 months - plastics started making noise just after 6 months.

After riding splendor for few years bought this machine. Even though its power is less compared to other bikes in the same segment, initial pickup of the bike is very good. If you're looking for a bike to cruise under 70-100kmph then this is the excellent bike. No vibration nothing. Very smooth engine, smooth sound and smooth gear shifting. Looks muscular and most of the people loves it. It doesn't even look like a 150cc machine. Even though it is priced aggressively, it worth every penny IMO. But if you're looking for a bike for racing or to ride it in more than 100kmph then this is not the bike you're looking for. Check out Apache or Hornet. If you want comfort, mileage and Reliability then you must try it. Take a Test drive and decide.

  • Would not recommend buying it before reading this

    Mohd Gaffar

The buying experience was excellent and was everything you could expect and the riding experience was good it has a nice suspension and excellent brakes and the downside the build quality is very poor in the first four months of owning it it had a serious engine problem ( the oil was leaking out of the engine) so i took it to the service center and they were like ok sir we will do something about it . They themselves were not sure what to do and it took them 3 days and they only temporarily fix the oil leakage with an "m-seal" .The bike has a fiber body and the tank panels are built very poorly. I had to replace both left and right tank panels after i drove over a pot- hole once . I would not recommend this bike at all.
