  • Crisp review of lord of street (fz s v3 bs6)

    Deepak Gonda

My review of fz s v3 after riding 2200 kms:
One of the best bikes in 150cc segment
    Yamaha's top class engine refinement.
One can cruise anywhere between 85 to 90 kmph smoothly without any vibrations felt. Above 100kmph the bike struggles a bit.
Even though there is a slight power drop in bs6 variant, torque has improved a bit thereby improving low and mid shift accelerations.
Handling is excellent and braking (front disc and abs are a major additive).
One can confidently Corner with rear fat radial tyre.
undoubtedly the best pick in city traffic and occasional outings.
Of course best in terms of mileage almost 48-50kmpl right from day 1.

  • Amazing performance after ridden 40k km

    Anurag Singh

I have completed 42000 km on fz s v3 bike which is bs4 compliance, bike is very powerful and nice punchty in this segment. Top speed is 124 kmph, with pillion approx 110 to 115 kmph. Good stability nice breaking. Rides 320 km non-stop last week only. Slightly power lake facing when on the highway when you try to pull the bike above 90 kmph. Pillion comfort is not very good. Maintenence is costly.

Excelling riding, and smooth engine. As Yamaha is known for its engines. You will get a reliable and smooth motor. You will get a fun-to-ride bike..Price tag is comparable with other bikes in this segment. Good power-to-weight ratio. Service cost is a bit higher than the performance-oriented bike. Mileage is lesser than Honda. The pillion rider seat is not comfortable. Go for long rides with this bike.

  • The perfect upper executive commuter bike !!!

    Visal S

First bike and a direct upgrade from honda dio. My main requirement was a daily commuter bike with good handling, safety features and average mileage of around 45 kmpl. After riding 3000 km, i am writing this review very happily and proudly because the yamaha fzs v3 has satisfied me in every sense. The bike gives us a feeling of a heavy feeling which we get it from other 200-250cc segment bikes. It handles very well around corners and absorbs the shocks very well. The single channel abs provides good confidence.Mileage : 58 kmpl. Strong low end and mid range torque.Good for riding in the 50-70 speed limit.Areas of improvement: Top end torque could be improving.Back brake requires more bite.Tachometer console should provide gear shift indicator. Note: this bike is not for the ones looking top end performance and racing. Perfectly suitable for upper executive class daily commuter.

    1. Buying experience is really good, I am happy with Yamaha, on the date of purchase they, explained to me all the features.,
    2. My Riding experience with my bike is good, I have ridden 10020kms in this 10k journey I did not find any difficulties, tires, or suspension.
    3. Looks are good from the side but not from the front.
    4. Serving is good, I have done all the free servicing till present and two days before I had done my last free servicing which is provided by the dealer is the 4th service and the service is so good.
    5. Pros:-
Good Suspension, Good Tyre grip because of front is 100 section and the rear is 140 section, Great handling in the segment, 0-60 is really quick
    Cons:-
The gear is so hard while shifting up and down, Lack of top-end it does not go above 120 mph, and 120 mph is so rarely done, Mudguard is so small in the rainy season it does not, have protection from the dirt, and in the rainy season, the chain sound is so bad. 0-60 is Really quick but after 60 it lacks too much because of 12.3 bhp its top end is too low.

    Tips for other riders

At the Time of Delivery do a good PDI (Pre delivery Inspection) and try to find scratches, tyre quality date of manufacturing of tyre , And if the odometer is above 100 km reject the bike immediately, and asked the dealer to give another bike which is rode within 30- 40 km. To Maintain your bike is good Condition , Always change your engine oil within 3000km , or 3k , Ride the bike so softly, so that you did not get any trouble while going to ride or for long ride. Always Respect your bike , if you are going for a tour of 300km , give rest after every 60-80 km of journey, for 15 - 30 minutes. And the most important thing is the tyre pressure always maintain good tyre pressure within 30 - 35 psi both the tyres. Do not rev too much , it harms the engine , sometimes you can but do not make habit, because its only a 150 cc engine how much would u expect from a 150 cc engine , so do not rev too much. That's All, Thank You , if you like my review just like it.

  • 60kmpl mileage

    Sujay Reddy

I bought this bike a month ago, Yamaha has done a pretty good job with bike. Though the engine is not so punchy but I can live with it. YAMAHA just thought of giving a good mileage bike. FZ V3 gives me 60 kmpl mileage. I ride around 60-65 km/hr and I weigh around 85kg and I fuel it only at shell (unleaded petrol). The style, aerodynamics, and the braking is exquisite, it'll bring tears to the eyes of rival bike owners. You can just close your eyes and buy this bike if you are a mileage guy. If you expect more power to your engine then this is not the bike for you.
    pros: mileage, style, braking, suspension
    cons: headlight, engine power.
