  • Worst experience!!

    Utsav Telang

The riding experience within a year of buying was decent, but after that, it started with vibration & rough idle, even after following all the good riding techniques & following scheduled periodic maintenance. And the worst part is the service quality of Yamaha service center in south mumbai, even after visiting 5 times they didn't know the problem with my scooter.
    Pros:-
    Looks,
    Braking,
    Decent mileage.
    Cons:-
    Lack of comfort,
    Built quality is poor,
    Pickup is below average,
Lacks in engine smoothness( even after following periodic maintenance schedule ),
    Worst service experience.

  • Lightest scooter from yamaha.

    Pranav Gode

This scooter is very light weight. The main reason to buy this over others was its weight and mileage. It will definitely not let you down it has latest features as well as Yamaha quality will ensure you ride for years. Go for it if you are looking for a sporty design with light weight and great mileage.

  • Nice but omission of too many needed features

    John

Yamahas are excellent bikes. I have owned many both on the Indian subcontinent and the U.S. But I have never understood Yamaha India's penchant (and marketing oversight) for not accessorizing their bikes and scooters. These days it is very important and could very well be a competitive edge for others not to buy other vehicles but yamaha.
With the advent of the tvs’s ntorq 125, to use this example, it set new standards and increased sales. Yet yamaha couldn't even begin to match the new features and accessories that made this model so popular at the same price!
The upside of this scooter is great ride ability, turning, acceleration, smoothness, quietness, responsiveness, seating comfort, and fuel economy, which I get from 48--51 km/l.
But yamaha, at the same price as the ntorq, couldn’t even begin to match, for example, the ntorq.
No handle brakes, lock for safety, so the scooter rolls if not on an absolutely level surface. And already my new scooter has fallen over once.
    • no rear tyre mud cover to prevent mud from throwing on pillion.
    • no clock.
    • no bluetooth connectivity.
    • no modern switches.
    • no led headlight and turn signals.
    • no under-the-seat light.
    • no turn signal warning buzzer.
    • no four-way flasher.
    • no 12” rear wheel.
    • no attractive silencer.
    • no ladies foot stand.
    • no storage in front apron.
    • no adequate foot room for tall drivers.
    • no brightly lit instrument cluster.
    • no attractive body stickers. (what does “standard gear” mean and why would you consider this appealing?
Further, there are also these issues:
    1. With a pillion the bike felt less stable, the total passenger weight overcomes the light weight of the
    scooter itself.
    2. Front disc brake is spongy
    3. Overly chunky design could be more streamlined.
    4. Seat fits sloppy, not well designed.
    5. Need better tyre design with better traction, certainly and ideally with bigger wheels.
    6. Stop & start system mostly a nuisance, as engine turns off too quickly when having no intention for long
stopping wait period. I just usually turn it off.
If one is not interested in accessories and features, then it is a good city scooter, especially for its great fuel economy and its light weight, which provides ease of handling and faster speed. Other than this, better look elsewhere.

  • Amazing Experience with Ray ZR 125

    Upendra Duggeneni

    Buying experience :
The sales Executive tried to pretend there is no offer even though a big banner is present outside the showroom.
    Overall Experience: 2/5
Riding experience and performance: The bike feels good to ride, and you will love the ride quality. Very Easy to manoeuvre in traffic because of its lightweight. You can flick through the gaps easily compared to other vehicles.
The stability of this vehicle with pillion at a top speed of 85kmph is Awesome. You can feel the SMG gives a little bit boost to the initial revs. Yamaha's reliable and refined engine
    Overall Exeprience:5/5
Service Maintenance: As of now, Only 2 Services are completed with an average charge of around 500/-. And the service centre experience is good.
    Overall Exeprience:4/5
Pros: Mileage 55KMPL in City. You can Grab attention on roads by its looks. Ride Quality, Silent Start. The pillion seat is very comfortable, unlike the front you don't feel all the bumps on the back.
Cons: Front Suspension, you can feel all the bumps on the road. The Front Floor is a little bit congested compared to other vehicles in this segment. External Fuel filling would be an advantage. Please be careful while Manoeuvring this, you may hit the other vehicles because of its guard set(Which looks good on the bike and protects your vehicle)

The scooter is good looks sporty attractive design I bought this scooter last year with faster processing of documents I booked and I got it the next day, they don't call you for vehicle service as the Suzuki showroom does, 1 service lapsed and opted for 2nd service, riding experience is but doesn't feel safe when you bend the vehicle while taking the turn in medium speed no USB charger or bottle holder they could have added, helmet space good for 1 helmet only, seating I always slip forward whenever I apply the brake (slippery seat) overall good scooter

  • Skiddy vechicle poor breaks

    Shashi

I've been using yahama ray zr for over a year. This vehicle is made to look sporty. Its battery will drain quickly and the scooter skids a lot and the tire and braking mechanism is so badly designed that it is risky to drive this. The cost of this bike is the lowest amongst its peers but is not worth saving. Suzuki has the best vehicle balance, breaks, and seating.

    Kishore

My scooter yamaha ray zr 125fi is very stylish and very comfortable to ride. Its auto engine standby system is very helpful to save fuel while waiting in traffic signals. The scooter engine cannot be turned on without folding the stand is a best safety feature for this scooty. I always love to ride it and still enjoy it fully.

  • Style comfort and safety together in an affordable price

My scooter yamaha ray zr 125fi is very stylish and very comfortable to ride. Its auto engine standby system is very helpful to save fuel while waiting in traffic signals. The scooter engine cannot be turned on without folding the stand is a best safety feature for this scooty. I always love to ride it and still enjoy it fully.
