2020 Honda CB400X: Image Gallery

Honda has launched the 2020 CB400X adventure touring model in its home country, Japan. The motorcycle has received only subtle cosmetic changes over the previous model while remaining unchanged on the hardware front. The fact that the craze for small ADVs is increasing in India makes the CB400X an interesting motorcycle. Hence, we check it out in detail through this image gallery.

The CB400X boasts of a half-faired design similar to its elder sibling, the 2020 Africa Twin. However, the former looks sharp and sporty with angular lines running across its body work. 

While the overall styling have been retained from the previous model, the colour palette now gets two new dual-tone paint schemes accentuated by red accents and camouflage themed graphics. 

The feature list of the bike comprises of full-LED lighting, fully-digital instrument cluster, five-step adjustable levers, two-step adjustable windscreen and dual exhausts. 

With a ground clearance of 150mm and the presence of alloy wheels with dual purpose tyres, the CB400X is a road-biased machine which can be ridden through light trails occasionally.

Powering the adventure tourer is a 399cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which is capable of producing 45.3bhp at 9,000rpm and 38Nm at 7,500rpm. This is close to the KTM 390 Adventure which pumps out 42.3bhp and 37Nm. 

Suspension setup incorporates telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear while the braking hardware includes a petal-type disc at both ends assisted by dual-channel ABS as standard. 

Honda sells the CB400X in Japan and the chances of it being available in other markets is slim at the moment. Nevertheless, the company sells its elder sibling, the CB500X, in the international markets.
