Honda has unwrapped the all-new CB1000 Hornet at the EICMA 2023. The motorcycle is set to replace the CB1000R Neo Sports Cafe which seemed to lack sales globally.
Going with the aggressive styling approach, the designers at Honda have surely picked up cues from the Ducati Streetfighter- an attractive-looking bike itself. Overall, the Hornet’s design is sharp. Right from the low-slung full-LED headlamp, fuel tank recesses and the tail section which reminds us of the 2017 CB1000R.
Underneath the bodywork, the CB1000 Hornet is based on the might Fireblade and uses the same frame as the supersport. It also uses the 999cc, inline-four-cylinder motor with a change in tune. Regardless, the unit churns out a healthy 150bhp. Hardware is taken care of by Showa forks at the front and a Pro-Link shock at the rear; both with pre-load and rebound adjustability. Feature list on the Honda CB1000 Hornet include a throttle-by-wire system, five-inch TFT display and five ride modes on offer.
WIth the CB1000 Hornet replacing the litre-class Neo Sports Cafe,which is sold in India we can expect Honda to introduce the motorcycle in the country sometime in 2024 through its BigWing showrooms.
