Kawasaki Z900 Special Edition- What else can you buy?

Kawasaki recently launched the Z900 Special Edition in India at Rs 7.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). If you are looking to buy a motorcycle in the same price range, we list out the four options that the Indian market offers.

Kawasaki W800 

In Kawasaki’s showrooms itself you will find the W800; a classic-inspired motorcycle with modern features to put it on par with current times. It gets a round headlamp with full-LED lighting. Furthermore, the W800 Street sports a twin-pod instrument cluster that features a small LCD display. Powering the W800 is a 773cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 47bhp of power and 62.9Nm of torque. The W800 costs Rs 7.99 lakhs; similar to the Z900 Special Edition.

Ducati Scrambler Icon  

You could also have the Scrambler Icon which is Ducati’s most affordable offering in India. It is available with a price tag of Rs 7.89 lakhs. Powering the 2019 Scrambler Icon is an 803cc, air-cooled, L-twin engine which produces 73bhp of power and 67Nm of torque. In terms of features, the Ducati Scrambler Icon comes equipped with a single-pod LCD instrument console and cornering ABS as standard. 

Suzuki GSX S750 

Suzuki offers the GSX S750 streetfighter which is based on the bigger GSX S1000. It gets similar styling that incorporates a low slung headlamp, muscular fuel tank and split-seat setup. Powering the GSX S750 is a 749cc inline four-cylinder motor that is capable of producing 114bhp of max power and 81Nm of peak torque. Suzuki has equipped the GSX S750’s electronic kitty with three level traction control and ABS. The GSX S750 would set you back by Rs 7.52 lakhs.

Honda CBR650R 

Honda’s CBR650R is the only fully-faired motorcycle available in the price range of the Kawasaki Z900. It sports an aggressive design language borrowed from the CBR1000RR Fireblade and gets split full-LED headlamps that give the CBR650R a distinctive look. The motorcycle uses a 648cc inline-four engine that produces 86bhp and 60.1Nm. Honda has priced the CBR650R at Rs 7.70 lakhs.
