Honda 2Wheelers India has updated its portfolio with the launch of the new CB200X in our market. The new motorcycle is based on the Honda Hornet 2.0, although it packs revised styling that comprises a semi-fairing and a tall windscreen. The new CB200X draws styling cues from bigger Honda motorcycles such as the CB500X and the CRF1100L Africa Twin. The styling elements on the new CB200X include a semi-fairing, a tall windscreen, and knuckle-guards.
The motorcycle is available in three colours – Matte Selene Silver Metallic, Pearl Nightstar Black, and Sports Red (pictured).
The Honda CB200X shares its underpinnings and engine with the Hornet 2.0. Thus, the motorcycle is powered by the same 184.4cc, single-cylinder engine makes that makes 17bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 16.1Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.
Honda has retained the engine map and gear ratio from the Hornet 2.0 naked roadster. The motor is linked to a five-speed gearbox.
The feature list on the Honda CB200X includes full-LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster as standard. The cluster, unlike its rivals such as the Hero Xpulse 200, misses Bluetooth connectivity.
The suspension setup on the CB200X includes upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock.
The braking tasks are handled by petal-type disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net comprises a single-channel ABS.
