I have been using this bike since 2019 and thought to write a detailed review about this bike as I've driven 25k+ kms on this bikePros:1. The price-to-performance ratio is no match, there's no bike anywhere in the world that can give you this performance at this cheap price. Writing this after a lot of research2. Refinement - Bajaj has worked a lot on refining the engine giving a flagship experience. You don't feel this like a Bajaj bike or a Pulsar bike. Dominar refinement is something else. You feel confident enough to rely on the Engine while riding for long distances3. Mile Muncher: You can go very long effortlessly on this bike as the dynamics are great. You sit straight because of the design. You just need to add some handlebar risers and you're ready. ~190 kg The Weight of this machine is an added advantage - it gives a lot more confidence in high-speeds4. Ground clearance - This bike is designed with a great balance - You'll love the highways as well as a bit of off-roading when possibleCons:1. Gearbox can be slightly better 2. The clutch can be a little lost as we drive for a long time on this vehicle3. This bike deserves better tires - Stock MRF is also decent, but better tires make you feel better4. Braking distance can be improvedAll the above cons are no way before the Pros this bike brings to you. So anybody who's planning to buy a bike for Fun city commutes and Comfortable Highway Mile munching at that budget - You can buy this with no second thoughts

The bike has been maintained with emotion. Always serviced at 2500km cycle and each service only at the authorized service center in Thane Maharashtra. Less driven with new battery which is 3 months old, sprocket which is 4K kms old and tyres which are 4.5k kms old. The bike performs like a fresh piece. Has very minimal vibrations and in absolute mint condition.

Is Dominar 400 still unbeatable in 2024?

1. Power bands are at 2.5 k RPM and after 4 k RPM. Buzz will be there.2. Top speed can vary from 153 to 161 KMPH depending on the situation. 3. Mileage varies from 27 to 30 km/l.4. Heavy-weight bike, so if you're skinny like me, you need some time to get used to it.5. The rider seat is comfortable enough, but the pillion seat isn't comfortable for longer rides.6. Stock tires aren't that great.7. The service center experience wasn't good for me.8. Test riding this and other competitors is a must before deciding.

The value for money bike
Prateek Sharma
Was looking to upgrade from Apache RTR 180, my first thoughts were for Himalayan 411 but the "take it or leave" attitude of RE service centers made me change my mind. I visited 4 showrooms of RE and all of them had that "devil may care" attitude. Didn't even bother to give a test ride. It was then I went for Dominar and I am happy to say that it has been a wonderful decision. I have used it for practically everything, from city usage to occasionally going for long tours. The bike has always surprised me with power delivery and comfort. Just top-notch. The so-called disadvantage of being bulky is felt at slow speed but once you get going at higher speed, the heavy weight acts like an advantage and the bike is rock solid.

Return to Biking after 10 years with Dominar 400
7 weeks ago
Vivek
I had a great experience riding the Dominar 400 as I returned to biking after 10 years: great looks, power delivery, and handling. Maintenance is not very expensive. Service and spares are easily available and good for both city as well as highways. The bike is a bit heavy compared to my previous one(Pulsar 150) but you will not feel it once you start riding. At a standstill it may be difficult for someone short(I am 5' 11) to manage.

Overall this bike is no doubt a segment killer! It inspires confidence while riding and easily maintains constant speeds above 140 KMPH. Great bike any day!The only issue with this bike is the service: The service centres lack experienced technicians to solve simple issues. Also, a few service centers are just minting money.

Subham Mitra

Riding experience - awesome, Good performance, low on maintenance, I have not seen any cons yet.The Bajaj Dominar 400 impresses with its powerful 373.3cc engine, offering a smooth and thrilling ride. Its muscular design, LED headlamps, and comfortable seating enhance the experience. Great for highway cruising and city commutes alike, it delivers excellent value with a strong performance and reliable build.

Best budget bike in 400 CC segment!
Rajeev Prabhu
Overall this bike is no doubt a segment killer! It inspires confidence while riding and easily maintains constant speeds above 140 KMPH. Great bike any day!The only issue with this bike is the service: The service centres lack experienced technicians to solve simple issues. Also, a few service centers are just minting money.
