Daytona AC Pro Short Boots Six Month Update

I love these boots. And believe it or not, I am wearing them right now even as I type this, sitting in the office, trying to wrap up stuff so that I can make it for a meeting due in the next hour. And unless someone spots the brushed finished titanium sliders, these just pass off as a pair of fancy shoes in those meetings.

 And fancy these most definitely are. These were hand-built in Germany. One has to lace them up – like Oxfords, if you will. And, these fit like proper plush, formal shoes. There’s no unnecessary bulk, no dead weight to haul around, and no spaceman walk to make you look silly.

Moreover, they strike a lovely balance between being supple and restrictive which bodes well for both comfort and protection. We wouldn’t recommend you wear them to a racetrack outing or go off-road adventure riding in them, but to commute in, or to go touring, the AC Pro boots work well. 

As for wear, the soles are holding up well against motorcycles footpegs, and all the work-related walks. The heel plates haven’t been able to scratch or bruise the insides of the boots. And, the laces, the Velcro and screw holding the titanium slider are all working like new. There’s also no age related blemishes on the leather anywhere. 

So, the boots were priced at Rs 19,900 when we started testing them. But, now the prices of the AC Pro have dropped to Rs 16,900. These are still expensive. But, with the difference now dropping to just Rs 2,000 or so from the other popular short boots on the market, these Daytonas might find more buyers.
