Helstons Sonny Mesh Jacket Six Month Update

We told you what we liked and what we didn’t about the Helstons Sonny Mesh summer jacket which we have been using for almost everything motorcycle or scooter. You can read that review HERE.

This, the six month update, is more about how the jacket has been holding up after all the use. And it is faring very well indeed. The zip to close up the sleeve does up act on both arms from time to time, and the collar button has a tendency to fight you during closure. But, these apart, be it the fabric – we have washed it a number of times, the colour, the protection, and other zippers and buttons are still like new.

And, of course, the things we liked about the Sonny — its design, its quality and its fit — remain unchanged. We did say that the jacket was expensive and would be great for those who ride modern classics, and we’d stick with that. But, if you can afford it, we’d say it goes well with everything from a scooter to a burly street naked.
