While buying, you won't come to know what's good or bad in the model. So before buying check all reviews online. Service and maintenance are pathetic. They are least bothered post-sales. No time to get your spares replaced which falls under warranty as you have to wait years together. Worst services they provide. It's completely a plastic body, not reliable.

  • Terrible Experience with Hero Electric Optima: Battery Failure Nightmare.

    Souri Ratnaparkhi

I purchased the Hero Electric Optima a year ago for business purposes, investing a hefty sum of 78000/-. However, just four months before , the battery failed. Despite being under warranty, the company has utterly failed to provide a replacement in a timely manner. It has been over four months of agony, with no resolution in sight.
The lackadaisical attitude of Hero Electric towards customer service is appalling. They have continuously delayed the replacement, citing vague excuses and providing no concrete timeline for resolution. Their indifference has brought my business operations to a grinding halt, causing significant financial losses and disrupting my livelihood.
I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with Hero Electric's incompetence and lack of regard for their customers. Their failure to honor their warranty agreement and provide timely support reflects poorly on their brand and reliability. I strongly advise potential buyers to reconsider purchasing any product from Hero Electric, as they cannot be trusted to deliver on their promises and provide adequate support when needed.
Overall, my experience with Hero Electric Optima has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I regret ever investing my hard-earned money in their product.

I have been using this bike since June 2022, Their after-sale service is the worst. Within the ! 8 months the motor got damaged during the warranty period and it took one month to get the replacement. One month back the battery got damaged and took it for replacement, until now they cannot say when I will get the replacement.

I bought a Hero Electric scooter/ Optima 2022 and am using it sparingly. It's a very small vehicle with less comfort. Can be used for city use. Its changing port has broken several times and the body can crack very easily IE is fragile. The rate was cheap after government subsidy. Service for the vehicle is expensive and spares have to come from Punjab. The lady at the service centre tells me that you need to send the damaged part which is under warranty and should take one month to reach Punjab by road and to come back again more than a month then it takes its own time for repair??? She sent my battery charger 2 months ago and am still waiting. It's better not to own this company scooty in Tamil Nadu. Sad I bought Hero Electric scooter Optima.

  • Great to have hero optima Escooter

The Hero Optima electric scooter is designed to offer an eco-friendly and cost-effective commuting option. With a range of 60 kilometers on a single charge, it is ideal for short-distance travel in urban settings. The scooter's design emphasizes practicality and ease of use, making it a popular choice among city dwellers and those looking for a sustainable mode of transport.
    Pros
Eco-Friendly: The electric motor produces zero emissions, making it an environmentally friendly choice compared to traditional petrol scooters.
Cost-Effective: Low operating costs due to the absence of fuel expenses and lower maintenance requirements make it an economical option in the long run.
Silent Operation: The electric motor ensures a quiet ride, reducing noise pollution and providing a more pleasant riding experience.
Easy Charging: The scooter can be charged at home using a standard electrical outlet, adding to its convenience.
Lightweight and Maneuverable: Its lightweight design makes it easy to handle, especially in heavy traffic or crowded areas.
Low Running Costs: With fewer moving parts, the Hero Optima requires less maintenance than traditional scooters, translating to lower maintenance costs.
    Cons
Limited Range: With a 60 km range, it may not be suitable for long-distance travel or for users who need to cover extensive daily mileage.
Charging Time: The time required to fully charge the battery can be a downside for those who need to use the scooter frequently throughout the day.
Speed Limitations: Electric scooters generally have lower top speeds compared to petrol scooters, which might be a limitation for some users.
Battery Degradation: Over time, the battery's capacity may degrade, reducing the effective range and requiring replacement.
Availability of Charging Infrastructure: In some areas, the lack of public charging stations can be an inconvenience.
Initial Cost: The upfront cost of purchasing an electric scooter can be higher than a conventional petrol scooter, although this is offset by lower running costs over time.
Overall, the Hero Optima electric scooter is a practical and environmentally friendly option for short commutes and city travel. Its economic and operational benefits make it an attractive choice for those looking to reduce their carbon footprint and travel costs. However, potential buyers should consider the range limitations and charging infrastructure availability when deciding if it fits their needs.

  • Very Poor Service of Ultima in Kottayam Area Kerala

    Joy Paul

I purchased the scooter about 2 years back from a dealer in Kottayam Kerala. But now there is no authorized dealer in Kottayam. I can't find a service center for repairing Ultima which has not working for the past few months. No authorized Hero scooter service in this area will attend to the faults of the Hero Ultima E Scooter. I enquired with some of my friends who had purchased Ultima and they all say the same story, no service for Ultima. We are planning for other options with the company for the service of our scooters. How can a customer able to buy a scooter from Hero brand

  • Poor Build Quality and Worse after sales service

    Sonia Kochhar

I bought the Hero Electric Optima scooter in May 2022 and have been using it on a daily basis.
Its build quality is poor with inferior quality parts. The charging point stopped functioning after a few months and had to be replaced, it's not working again. Its accelerator broke down after a few months and had to be replaced too. The headlight LED lamp also had to be replaced. The seat lock is not functioning and the seat compartment can't be locked and I am told to buy a new seat lock.
Now, since 4th July 2023, the charger has stopped charging my scooter and on taking up with the local dealer Ms Popular Autocare LLP Panchkula, I am told that since I have replaced the power plug shoe of charger wire, its warranty is invalidated and I should buy a new charger for Rs.4,000/- plus.
I tried contacting Hero Electric's customer care number numerous times but it appears to be a farce as, after a long ringing, it gets disconnected.
    Overall a very frustrating experience.

Worst experience with Hero Electric scooter Optima.
Poor service, the product quality is very poor. Best advice don't ever buy this Hero scooter.
Bought seeing the company name. felt very bad. They cheated us with the brand name. They say warranty, but the truth is if we go back of them for 5 to 6 months also we couldn't claim it.

  • Pathetic customers handling post sales

    Debabrata Tripathy

While buying, you won't come to know what's good or bad in the model. So before buying check all reviews online. Service and maintenance are pathetic. They are least bothered post-sales. No time to get your spares replaced which falls under warranty as you have to wait years together. Worst services they provide. It's completely a plastic body, not reliable.

The brake disc makes a huge noise in rain like a bomb in moisture climate. and you assume that they will replace it soon under warranty then you are wrong. They take years together to replace. So from my opinion, don't buy this product.

  • Do not buy

    Lourdusamy K
