The first Bike that I have purchased on my own. Superb Bike. Went for it after much deliberations and research. Took a test ride and immediately fell in love with it.
1.Its new engine is the pinnacle of Honda.
2.Tuning is spot on and different from other bikes. It is in essence a true street fighter.
3.Build Quality is also Top notch except some finishing issues in minute areas.
    4. This bike will outrace every Bike in the segment in its character, refinement and longevity.
5.Upside Down forks from Showa will make you begin your day with a smile on your face.
6.Ergonomics will keep you relaxed all day long.
7.Unique ultra max Tyres from Maxxis are a boon.
    8. Fuel Economy - This bike is as frugal as it can get in this department.
9.Handling- Seems that Honda wants you to ride like Marc Marquez. Superb Flickability. The grip, balance and conduct of the Chassis will surprise you. The low Kerb weight really demonstrates itself on the road and city traffic.
10.Brakes- Spot on . Inspires confidence.
You can ride tight with these brakes. Precise braking performance from Nissin callipers and petal discs. Dual Channel ABS could have been offered as an option.
11.Lighting - Adequate illumination and throw. The Led headlights do their job pretty good, did not expect such brightness and range in an Led unit in this budget segment.
    12. Engine heating- Not an issue till now. Rode 100 kms at a stretch.
    13. The bike cruises with ease at 100 kmph at 6000 Rpm in 5th gear. Overtakes at your command. Prompt top gear performance. Redlines at 9000 Rpm.
6th Gear could have been provided for enthusiastic highway rides.
    14. Price tag may seem much at first. But after you own the bike and ride for 100 km you will understand the difference. The product is worth the price.

I buy this hornet 2.0 before one month. I feel very nice riding experience. Fully comfortable bike. It's a daily commuter bike. Not a sports bike. Overall looks is awesome, Usd forks gives a premium feel. First service is done, maintenance cost is very low. But, rear break not abs and it's a air cooled engine. That's a disadvantages for this price range.

  • 2.5 years of Hornet and many years to go.

    Prajnyan Sarma

I bought a Honda Hornet 2.0 from Bimal Honda Adabari, Guwahati Assam on 18th June 2021. The main purpose behind selecting this bike was the frequent weekend trips between Guwahati and Tezpur and the occasional rides to Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. Therefore, I have used this bike for daily commutes within the cities and highway rides some of which have been the ones with pretty bad roads that tested the suspension system.
The looks and performance of the bike justify its category as a street bike. In the performance sector, there are definite vibrations that can be felt once the 85kmph limit is crossed. However, with proper riding gear, the effects of vibrations can be greatly reduced and the ride becomes very smooth. As the ergonomic of the bike is quite comfortable with a little bit of aggressive stance, one can easily ride 200 km at one go. Apart from the ride quality which can be easily rated as 4/5, this bike provides good mileage too. It goes around 40 kmpl on highways and 38 kmpl within the cities.
The engine of the bike lives up to the saying of the reliability of the Honda engine. Within 2.5 years, a 22500 km ride was completed on this bike without any engine issues. For the maintenance of this bike, paid servicing was always done after 6000km or 6 months. The check-up of the chain and its cleaning and lubrication is done after every 1000km but sooner if the rides involved bad roads.
However, there are two cons apart from all the good positive aspects
    1. A little bit of engine oil that minutely seeps through the engine oil inlet.
    2. Low power of the headlamp.
But none of these are deal breakers. The oil seepage stopped as soon as the valve was changed.
Overall the bike can be easily rated as 4/5 taking into consideration the suspension, engine reliability, service experience, ergonomics and handling.

First thing I like to share about Honda, Honda is the best leading brand. and Honda product will come long last. Honda is trust and Honda hornet 2.0 is the super premium bike in segment and the riding agronomic was stunning and cornering was awesome. 140 section tyre was doing good job in cornering. The golden usd fork was eye catching look and doing good job in track and bumps and hornet 2.0 company claimed 45km/l but in real time mileage is 48km to 51km/l Honda hornet 2.0 look was massive look. Fully loaded led light's 1st in segment and attractive x shaped tail light was sexy look. About the servicing was just engine oil change its cost around' rs700 and very very less maintenance. Hornet 2.0 pro is full led light's 1st in segment, attractive look, good riding, best mileage and performance.
Cons : the hornet 2.0 price was too expensive, and no oil cooled engine, no 6 speed gear box, no side stand engine cut off switch, no dual channel abs.

I have been riding hornet 2.0 for few weeks. This is awesome for daily use. The initial pulling power while comparing to other bikes in this segment is very very sharp. The front view as well as back side view is amazing. The braking is very crisp when compare to other bikes in this segment. It is the best bike in this segment.

    Sachin

This is the best bike that money can buy under 1.7 lakhs. On paper, it doesn't feel any competitive but once you ride this bike, it gives you the most satisfying riding experience. I did a test ride on multiple bikes but this bike gave me the best riding experience.
    PROS:
    1. Excellent handling quality
    2. Excellent ride experience
    3. Decent performance according to 184cc engine
    4. Good for short riders. I am 5'3" and I can easily ride this bike with ease
    5. Excellent braking on both sides.
    6. Good throttle response
    7. Good enough comfort for daily commuting. I travel 32 km daily for my college and I feel no pain riding on this bike. In fact, I enjoy riding this bike more.
    8. Excellent build quality.
    9. Excellent quality in every aspect
    10. Golden Upside-down fork manufactured by shows on the front suspension. Only a few bikes under 2 lakhs offer this quality suspension.
    11. One of the widest tires (on both front and rear sides) in the segment (under 2 lakhs) which provides excellent handling quality.
    12. Huge petal disk brake on both front and rear side which is calibrated by Nissin which provides excellent braking.
    13. Good instrument cluster with basic features.
    14. All LED setups. If that matters to you.
    15. And of course, amazing mileage compared to the performance it gives. On average, I get 50-55 kmpl.
    CONS:
    1. No dual-channel ABS. Only single-channel ABS.
    2. Stiff suspension setup. Although it improves handling quality.
    3. Not catchy exhaust note if that matters to you.
    4. Good engine refinement but not as good as Honda standards.
    5. Only Air-cooled engines.
    6. Poor headlight throw area. The brightness of the light is good though.
    7. Not catchy rearview mirror design.
Overall you can buy this motorcycle without thinking too much about it. But it's better to have a test ride on this bike if this bike suits you or not.

    Tips for other riders

Do wash and lube the chain between 500 km-1000 km at your own or any local garages. I did visit my nearby authorized service center and I feel cheated. They wash the chain with high-pressured water which will damage the O-rings in the chain and lubed it with used engine oil which will make a real mess with lots of dust and debris and provides very poor lubrication. Can't say about other Honda-authorised service centers. Also do adjust the headlight alignment as soon as you buy this motorcycle. And also adjust the pressure in both tires. The showroom fills the tire with air more than it requires which results in more stiffer riding experience. The optimal pressure for the front it 25psi and for the back 29psi.

    Pros-
    The buying experience was good.
    Nice look
Great mileage gets 48-52 kms easily tank to tank
    Handling is good
    Never felt out of control
    The rider's seat is good
    Cons-
The bike lacks early and high-rpm power
At 3-7k rpm feels very nice to ride
Many times gear shifting issues. Gears get stuck intermittently.
Should have dual channel ABS for more safety
    Headlight through is poor
    The rear suspension is stiff,
    Missing navigation connectivity
    No charging point
The rear seat is much narrower.

    Nice look
Great mileage gets 48-52 kms easily tank to tank
    Handling is good
    Never felt out of control
    The rider's seat is good
    Cons-
The bike lacks early and high-rpm power
At 3-7k rpm feels very nice to ride
Many times gear shifting issues. Gears get stuck intermittently.
Should have dual channel ABS for more safety
    Headlight through is poor
    The rear suspension is stiff,
    Missing navigation connectivity
    No charging point
The rear seat is much narrower.

Chain lubrication is a must every 600-800kms During purchase, many dealers try to cheat by giving maxiss tyres instead of MRF be careful.

Reliability of honda can see all over ride. Good handling and very good bike for both beginners and intermediates. Fit and finish is always in and above the standards. Engine is refined and smooth.Console is average and features are not worth money. But the riding pleasure is value for money. It's a very good tourer too.

This was my second bike after apache rtr 160 4v bs6 but when i bought this bike i was completely shocked to see the performance look speed mileage and acceleration everything in hornet 2.0 is better then any bike in this price range even it surpasses bikes like ktm which is more expensive but still hornet is better durable and faster then ktm and apache rtr too . I loved it .I use this bike on daily bases and also have travelled twice from my home in chandigarh to my other home in manali and it was smooth ride with zero issue . I would suggest to buy this bike .

    Hari

I have been riding hornet 2.0 for few weeks. This is awesome for daily use. The initial pulling power while comparing to other bikes in this segment is very very sharp. The front view as well as back side view is amazing. The braking is very crisp when compare to other bikes in this segment. It is the best bike in this segment.

  • Superb riding experience
