Over all experience is good, and comfortable to ride, I ride my bike daily about 55 km and it feels great to have a bike like this, some will say this is fake and that my bike is giving mileage of more than 45 km per liter. It is great to have a bike with 180cc power, easy to handle, and easy for the daily commute, with this mileage.

  • Honda cb hornet- a glimpse

    Ankit Vyas

The price range of the bike is decent. The bike engine is normal Honda engine but comes with a sporty look. It cost around 1.1 to 1.2 lakhs at the time of purchase.
Riding experience- the ride experience is satisfactory. It is best for daily commute as well as highway travel across cities.
It requires maintenance at scheduled kms whether travelled or no. First 3 servicing are free by Honda. and brakes are good and prevent stalling the bike.
The above can be considered as pros. Cons include the limit speed of 105-110. Above it the bike cannot hold. The seating space is little as compared to other bikes.

It's been close to 4 months now & used for 2500kms. Hornet 2.0 is very refined and comes with great riding pleasure. It's really smooth and very easy to handle. I had a chance to touch 100kmph once & usually ride at 80-90 kmph. No vibration and a very comfortable ride. Has 5 gears and has great Power & we don't need a 6th gear. Have taken a test ride of many bikes till now ( 150 - 200cc ). But nothing beats this. Take a test ride and then decide. I loved the bike on the first test ride itself. Enjoying the riding pleasure. Go for it. By the way, mileage is b/w 38 & 43 km/liter for me now. This is only in cities.

  • A budget performance bike with a big bike feel to it.

    Himangshugogoi

    Good buying experience,
Nice to ride, will give you a big bike feel,
0-100 is pretty quick, but the comfortable cruising speed is around 6400rpm in 5th gear which is 85-90. As soon as you cross 110 kph the bike tends to feel stressed. The bike is super stable at this speed and confident aspiring. I choose this bike for the usd and
Engine refinement is the key highlight.
City riding and daily commute are good as the bike weighs only 142 kg kerb, which makes it easy to filter through the traffic the reason I would choose a motorcycle over a car in traffic.
Even after all the premium feel this bike has to offer service and maintenance of this bike is easy on your pocket. Use chain spray after every 300-400 km ride and keep it clean.
    Pros.
    -looks
    -usd feels premium
-gives you a big bike feel
    -stability
    -engine refinement.
    Cons
-plastic quality and fit and finish could have been better.
-headlight is not for a night ride on the highway with speed.
    -the rearview mirrors are useless
-the chassis looks so basic, could have used two rods in front instead of a single.
-the metal parts like the muffler catches rust soon.
The paint quality on those metal parts could have been better.
Last, I hope honda will not discontinue this bike, instead, they will upgrade this bike into a more premium package, if they discontinue this bike as they did with the legendary cbf stunner which was the previous bike I will surely not visit a honda showroom again in future.

  • Smooth beasty ride

    Mario

    Best bike for city commute.
Lightweight (142kgs) makes handling very easy.
    Smooth refined engine trademark Honda.
This looks like a beast and is easily one of the best looking bikes in the parking lot. 110/70 & 140/70 tyres looks awesome and gives really good balance and stability.
Brakes are really good, you can almost completely depend on the front brakes.
    Mileage of 40 around.
Smooth gear shifts. And excellent torque
Low and mid range performance is best in the class. You tend to feel the absence of a 6th gear but that's ok unless you are buying this bike to race on a daily basis.
Initial issues described here like engine heating and noise from rear brakes (just clean the disk) and all are eliminated after 1st service. Some bikes may tend to have a lockset issue, which again resolves in a month or so on its own or then a new lockset can be installed.
I would definitely recommend for a smooth makkhan experience and a pleasurable riding.

  • Average machine

It's a attractive machine with average capabilities i would say it's a bike for those who expect better style , comfort and fuel economy. It's not for the people who expect performance i mean mainly not for "duke , r15 & ns" guys. About bike 1. Good looking , good ergonomics but bike seems kinda small.2. Good comfort for the single rider, though the bike has a split seat and length of the seat is shorter and it's slightly uncomfortable for the pillion with bag or backpack on the long ride. 3. Engine is butter smooth and initial pick up is good, can ride 150 kms in a single stretch without any stress in hands or body.4. I'm getting 40 - 42 kmpl in city and 45 - 47 in highways 5. The pillion seat height and footrest is quite high for the ladies who sit sideways.

Very Bad Experience with Spare parts and service.
Takes months for regular consumables like brake Pads. Given the bike for repair about a month before but not get bike repaired yet. After calling to the service center, only got the answer " Spare Parts not received". Even after writing a mail to Honda Consumer Care not get any positive reply from the Service center or Honda Motorcycles Co.

  • Spine injured bike

    Subho

Bike suspension both front and back mono shock is too stiff. This bike is not for Indian roads. You face back pain in just 30 min of riding and after completed 2k km my spine was injured. Its a back pain bike I think.
Apart from this big issue the refinement of Honda is not present in the bike. Initially its was refine but after 1k km all gone to hell. My bike RR unit is defeated and headlight not working after 1 month. Service experience was truly bad and every one face it. Its become a universal truth about Honda.
Bike underbelly hit with a moderate pillion in every small small bumps.
Engine oil leakage issue from filling cap from day one. And you can use 1000 methods but it is not going to be solved. Its a manufacturing issue. Gear stuck issues are also present...its a faulty bike from Honda.
