Honda likely to launch a sports-oriented scooter in India next year

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) are planning to launch a premium scooter targeting the growing premium two-wheeler segment sometime within the next one year.

Currently we do not have much information on this development but it is likely that this scooter won’t be targeted at the commuter segment but will be more of a performance scooter. There are no scooters in India right now, which has been targeted only to deliver performance and high-end features. But with the introduction of this new performance based scooter, HMSI might open a new segment in world’s second largest motorcycle market.

The new scooter will be manufactured in India and will be priced on the higher side due to its sporty inclinations.
