Honda has inaugurated a new Best Deal pre-owned two-wheelers showroom in Mumbai. The 100th showroom of its kind in the country, this Best Deal outlet has been opened in association with Jhaveri Honda and is located at Tardeo Road, Mumbai.
Speaking to BikeWale, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Sr VP, sales and marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd said that an average Best Deal outlet gets 25 customers every month. However, this number does go as high as 90 to 100 in some select cities. As such, the company sees a huge potential in this sector. As the popularity and trust for the Best Deal showroom steadily increases, the company expects the numbers to monumentally go up. Displaying confidence in their concept, Mr Guleria added that Honda is planning to double the number of Best Deal outlets over the next 18 months.
Honda started opening Best Deal outlets over three years ago, as a platform for customers to exchange and upgrade their old motorcycles and scooters for a new Honda two-wheeler. The outlet gives customers the option to opt for either a new or a pre-owned Honda two-wheeler. The company provides customers the finance option for their new two-wheeler, along with two free services and a six month warranty. The company takes pride in the transparency of this process, which has been devised and fine-tuned according to the customers’ needs and convenience over the past three years.
Best Deal isn’t exclusive for the Indian market, as Honda has successfully implemented this concept in several global markets. While there are several such platforms for car buyer in India, the Honda Best Deal represents the first such attempt in the two-wheeler industry. With a significant shrinking in the replacement cycle in two-wheeler industry, Honda sees immense future potential in this arena, and hence the aggressive expansion plans.
