Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. announced their sales for May 2015 showing a decline of 26.2 per cent. The company sold 12,415 units last month in comparison to the 16,824 units sold in May 2014.
The overall sales report shows a decline majorly because of the 34.32 per cent fall in domestic sales. The company sold 10,428 units last month as against 15,878 units sold in the same month in 2014.
Though the company didn’t show an increase in overall sales figures or domestic figures, they exported 1,987 units in May 2015. The manufacturer had sold 946 units in the corresponding period last year showing an increase of 110 per cent in exports.
Despite the launch of the new Gusto scooter, Mahindra couldn't keep up the sales momentum like last year with the launch of the Centuro. The demand of the commuter motorcycle had helped the company achieve high sales figures. We hope this scenario changes with the launch of their sports bike, the Mojo 300, in India this year.
