Norton Motorcycles UK recently teased us with a video on its official page. As with all teaser videos, this one gave us a glimpse of what the manufacturer is aiming for with its upcoming superbike. Here are more details on what looks to be Norton’s hand built superbike which is set to be unveiled on November 19.
Mr Simon Skinner, Norton head of design, said that the new superbike will be powered by a new V4 engine that implements learnings from Britain’s racing heritage and knowledge from top-notch automotive brands. The 1,200cc engine will employ GP-derived technologies to make it as sporty and advanced as the other superbikes in the market.
Skinner further added that the body will be made entirely out of carbon fibre, while the frame will be handmade using aluminium and billet parts, all of which can be seen in the teaser video.
The bike is being offered in two versions, a limited edition V4 Superbike with a price tag of £44,000 (Rs 35.7 lakh), and a standard one offered at £28,000 (Rs 22.7 lakh). Norton will not expect to sell this exclusive motorcycle in high numbers and with no presense in India, the only way it will make it to India is if someone privately imports it.
