MV Agusta recently released the pricing structure for its 2015 MY motorcycles in the US. And with this list, the company has officially confirmed the existence of the F4 RC, the World Superbike (WSB) homologation special version of the F4 superbike. The F4 RC will be priced at USD 46,000 (Rs 29.07 lakh) in the US market, which is more than twice the price of a standard F4 ABS.
Previous reports had indicated that the F4 RC will undergo significant weight reduction, which translates into a dry weight of 175 kilograms. The power-to-weight ratio has been upped to 1.2bhp per kg. To push the power figures to 210 horsepower and cut down on weight, MV Agustahas revamped the cylinder head, crankshaft, camshafts and pistons and conrods.
Suspension will be upgraded to Ohlins units while the company will also offer an optional full titanium Termignoni exhaust system. We expect it to be offered with lots of carbon fibre and magnesium parts.WSB rules cap the price of customer versions of superbikes at EUR 40,000 (Rs 31.05 lakh) and MV Agusta is expected to push the price figure to the limit for the European market.
