MV Agusta has revealed the 2016 Brutale 800 through a new teaser video, ahead of the bike’s official debut at the 2015 EICMA Show in Milan, later this month. The video shows the new Brutale 800 being assembled at the company’s factory in Varese, previewing a slew of cosmetic updates.
The new Brutale 800 continues to sport the ‘800’ badging, indicating no change in the powertrain department. The visual updates have been targeted at making the Brutale 800 more streamlined and aerodynamic. The fuel tank, exhaust pipes, headlamp and the tail lamp all have been redesigned to give the bike a more aggressive look. The new aluminium subframe should help in cutting a significant amount of weight. The tail section now features a void just below the riding seat, which is a styling cue borrowed from the Tursimo Veloce sports tourer. The rear footpegs have been repositioned, and so have the vents and ducts.
The Brutale 800 is powered by a 798cc three-pot engine, which delivers 123bhp of power and 81Nm of torque. The suspension and brake setup have also been carried over from the 2015 model. Though there won’t be any significant change in the power figures, we can expect MV Agusta to refine the electronics package of the new Brutale 800. Expect further details to be revealed as we get closer to the bike’s official unveiling, later this month.
