Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2017 HF Deluxe i3S at Rs 49,276 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Apart from new paint schemes and decals, this model also benefits from always headlamp on (AHO) and i3S technology.
The Hero HF Deluxe i3S is a barebones commuter motorcycle targeted at those looking for a hassle-free and fuel efficient motorcycle. The styling is very conservative, though the bikini headlamp cowl does add a bit of flair. Under the skin is a 97cc single-cylinder engine delivering 8bhp and 8Nm of torque through a four-speed gearbox. It rides on 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, with drum brakes at both ends. This model also gets Hero’s proprietary i3S technology, which automatically kills the engine when the motorcycle is kept in neutral for more than a few seconds, thereby saving fuel.
The 2017 Hero HF Deluxe i3S is available in three dual-tone paint schemes – black/red, black/blue and black/purple. For now, it is being sold alongside the previous model, prices of which start at Rs 40,255 for the base variant going all the way up to Rs 46,230 (both ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the top-spec variant. It competes with the Bajaj Platina, Yamaha Saluto RX, TVS Star City Plus and the Mahindra Centuro.
