Honda has launched the new BS IV-compliant Aviator in India at Rs 52,077 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new version is pricier than the outgoing model by Rs 440.
In the previous model, customers opting for the alloy wheels variant of the Aviator had to go for a front disc brake. Now though, the company has introduced a new variant with alloy wheels and front drum brake, priced at Rs 54,022. The top-spec disc brake variant on the other hand, retails at Rs 56,454 (both ex-showroom, Delhi). CBS is offered in all three variants. Honda has also introduced auto headlamp on (AHO) feature to meet government regulations.
Powering the Aviator is a 109cc single-cylinder engine delivering 8bhp and 8.9Nm of torque through a CVT transmission. It is available in four colours – red, black, silver and white. It competes with the TVS Jupiter MillionR, Hero Duet, Yamaha Cynus Alpha and the Mahindra Gusto.
