A studio photo of 2017 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso RC has been leaked ahead of its debut at the 2016 EICMA show, giving us the first glimpse of this limited edition motorcycle.
Traditionally, MV Agusta motorcycles have always been a work of art though they aren’t exactly ideal for touring enthusiasts. The Turismo Veloce fills this void in the company’s line-up. The Turismo Veloce Lusso, or ‘fast tourer luxury’ in Italian, has been derived from the Brutale 800 and will be the company’s first touring-focussed motorcycle. Like the other MV Agusta RC motorcycles, Turismo Veloce Lusso RC comes in an exclusive paint job inspired by the tri-colour livery of the company’s World Supersport race bikes.
Though technical details haven’t been revealed yet, we can expect it to be mechanically identical to the standard Turismo Veloce Lusso. Under the skin is a liquid-cooled 798cc inline triple engine which churns out 126bhp and 84Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox. Turismo Veloce Lusso RC rides on semi-active front and rear Sachs suspension. Electronic package consist of eight level traction control, ABS and three riding modes - tourismo, sport and rain.
We can expect further details to be revealed as we get closer to the bike’s launch date. While MV Agusta has a limited presence in India as of now, the company has been satisfied with the demand for its motorcycles. The exclusivity is helping MV Agusta build its brand for now, and we can safely expect it to bring in its entire range to the Indian market eventually. However, it might easily be a year before we see the Turismo Veloce Lusso and the Turismo Veloce Lusso RC on Indian roads.
