- Expected to be unveiled in a couple of months
- To get updated clutch, electronic package and a bump in power.
- Likely to arrive in India sometime next year.
MV Agusta has revealed that an updated version of their adventure-tourer, the Turismo Veloce 800 is in the works.
While the current model sports a slipper clutch, the bike is likely to come equipped with an auto-clutch as standard for 2018. This system engages and dis-engages the clutch automatically with the increase and decrease in revs, making stalling nearly impossible. The bike will still have a conventional clutch lever for the rider to use whenever required.
The bike will continue with its 798cc, three-cylinder engine setup. However, this unit is expected to produce around 125bhp, an increase of 15bhp from the current model. MV Agusta will update the Turismo Veloce 800’s electronics package with cornering ABS. The bike already comes equipped with a nine-level ABS system, ride-by-wire throttle and an eight-level traction control system.
The 2018 Turismo Veloce 800 will also sport an in-built satellite navigation system added to its full-colour TFT display. MV Agusta is expected to unveil the bike in the next couple of months for global markets. Meanwhile, we can expect the bike to arrive in India sometime next year.
