- Pissay finishes seventh despite a 20min penalty on day one

On the second day of the 2019 Desert Storm rally, as the riders conquered a total distance of 560km from Bikaner to Jaisalmer, TVS Racing riders continued to show their mettle. While Adrien Metge retained his lead over Hero MotoSports’ CS Santosh, the former widened the gap further by 8.56mins. On day one, the TVS rider was ahead of the Hero MotoSports racer by 2.20min.
Besides Adrien, yet another TVS rider who rose higher up the competition was the team’s lady rider Aishwarya Pissay. Following a technical violation, she was charged a penalty of 20 mins on day one which pulled her down to 23rd spot. Pushing harder, Aishwarya broke into top 10 in the second leg of the battle as she got her provisional rank settled at seventh spot.
As Hero’s CS Santosh emerged as a runner up, following him at the third rank was yet another TVS racer Abdul Wahid Tanveer who was 7mins behind the former. Meanwhile, Rajendra R E and R Nataraj of TVS continue to clinch their places into the top five.
While the second stage comprised of 116km timed section split into two unequal stages, the third day will see riders covering a total distance of 350km which consists of the longest timed section of the rally.
