- Mojo 300 now gets dual-channel ABS
- Engine churns out 26bhp
- Expect a decent price hike
Mahindra will soon launch the 2019 version of its flagship motorcycle, the Mojo 300 ABS. Recently, a leaked official document revealed the power figures of the bike along with some other specifications.
Firstly, the upcoming bike will be rebranded to Mojo 300 ABS. This bike was previous called the Mojo UT300 and Mojo XT300. The company will only sell one model which gets its power from the same 295cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. However, the power figures now stand at 26bhp at 7500rpm. The Mojo UT300 used to make around 23bhp whereas the XT which was a fuel-injected model churned out 27bhp. The motor continues to be mated to the same six-speed gearbox that transfers power to the rear wheel via a chain drive.
In terms of styling, the Mojo retains the same twin-pod headlight but misses out on LED DRLs. The cluster now gets an ABS indicator and the bottom, and the golden frame has been replaced by black one. Rest of the cycle parts like the tyres, suspension setup and the brakes will be borrowed from the older models. Dual-channel ABS will be standard.
We are expecting a decent price hike for this new model over the older ones, but should be lesser than the Bajaj Dominar 400. If Mahindra prices is more than the Dominar 400 which is a brilliant package, then the Mojo 300 ABS will have difficulties finding a lot of buyers.
