- The 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 gets dual-channel ABS
- Will replace the existing XT300 and UT300 variants of the bike
- Likely to be launched in the coming weeks
The 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 was spotted at a dealership recently. The company has now equipped the motorcycle with dual-channel ABS and this version will reportedly replace both the existing variants of the Mojo including the XT300 and the UT300.
The new Mojo 300 retains the same styling featuring a distinctive front end, chiseled fuel tank, single piece seat and a petite tail section. As can be noticed from the pictures, the new model carries the styling and components similar to the UT300, which is the more affordable model of the two variants. It gets a single-sided exhaust canister, blacked-out frame and swingarm along with black-finished radiator guard and underbelly cowl. Notably, the underseat cowl now boasts of a ‘300 ABS’ badging.
In terms of cycle parts, the new Mojo shares the setup with the UT300 featuring telescopic forks at the front, as opposed to the USD (upside down) forks on the Mojo XT300. At the rear, suspension duties are handled by a monoshock. Braking is taken care of by a 320m disc up front and a 240mm disc at the rear which will be assisted by a dual-channel ABS. Coming to the engine, the Mojo is powered by a 295cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. The new motorcycle reportedly features fuel-injection technology, similar to the more premium XT300 trim. This will get the new model closer to complying with BS VI emission norms which will be operational from 1 April 2020.
Mahindra is likely to launch the 2019 Mojo 300 in the coming weeks. As for the pricing of the motorcycle, the XT300 is priced at Rs 1.79 lakhs while the UT300 costs Rs 1.49 lakhs (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). Although the new motorcycle is deprived of the USD forks and dual exhaust setup, the inclusion of fuel-injection and dual-channel ABS should keep its pricing in the same ballpark of the XT300.
