Honda has introduced the 2020 CBR150R in Thailand. The changes to the latest iteration of the motorcycle include new colours. The Indian launch details of the motorcycle are not available yet, and it may not even arrive on our shores. Here, we explain the 2020 Honda CBR150R in detail.
Styling
As mentioned above, the changes to the 2020 model are limited to cosmetic upgrades in the form of colours. The 2020 Honda CBR150R will be sold in four colours – Matte Black with Red, Black with Orange, Grey with Red, and Red with Black. The new colour options are inspired by the bigger CBR models, the CBR650R and the CBR1000RR-R.
Features
The feature list on the 2020 Honda CBR150R continues to comprise of the twin-pod LED headlamps with LED DRLs, clip-on handlebars, fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors, muscular fuel tank, and split-style seats. The contrasting tip of the exhaust cannister looks appealing too.
Engine
Similar to the styling, the mechanical specifications, too, remain unaltered. Thus, the 2020 CBR150R continues to use a 149cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with Honda’s PGM-Fi fuel-injection technology. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor produces 17.1bhp 14.4Nm.
Hardware
The motorcycle uses telescopic forks at the front and a rear mono-shock to perform the suspension duties. The anchoring setup comprises of the petal-type disc brakes on both wheels.
Price
The 2020 Honda CBR150R is priced at THB 99,700 (Rs 2.43 lakh) in Thailand. Do note that the motorcycle is not likely to arrive in India.
