- 2020 Honda CBR150R introduced in Thailand
- Gets new colours
- Unlikely to arrive in India
Honda has launched the 2020 CBR150R in Thailand updating the fully faired motorcycle with four new colour options inspired by its bigger siblings- the CBR650R and the CBR1000RR-R.
To begin with, there is a matte black paint that features red graphics. Then, there is a bright red colour that comes with black graphics. It also features red wheels. In a similar theme, the CBR150R is offered in matte black and orange with orange wheels. However, it is the grey/black and red colour that is the most flashy. It features a red front wheel, red underbelly cowl and sporty graphics with a hint of yellow.
Apart from this, the 2020 Honda CBR150R remains the same as the previous model that was sold in Thailand. It comes with a 149cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is tuned to produce 17.1bhp and 14.4Nm. It comes mated to a six-speed transmission.
Now, this version of the Honda CBR150R is different from what was available in India a couple of years ago. The design of the Thai model is sharper all through and seems inspired by the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade. It also gets full-LED lighting; something that the Indian-spec model missed out on. While the 2020 Honda CBR150R continues to compete against the Yamaha R1 V3 and will be available in Thailand in the coming weeks, it is unlikely to make its way to India anytime soon.
