Honda has revealed the 2020 CBR400R, and the latest iteration of the fully-faired motorcycle will soon arrive in the Japanese market. The motorcycle has been priced at 808,500 yen in Japan. Here we explain the details about the 2020 Honda CBR400R.
Design
The 2020 iteration of the CBR400R retains the styling of its predecessor. Thus, it continues to feature a twin-pod headlight, full-fairing design, muscular fuel tank, split seats and twin-barrel exhaust. The clip-on style handlebars offer forward-leaning ergonomics for a sporty riding stance. Similar to the design, the graphics, too, have been carried forward from the previous model, although the 2020 CBR400R gets the CBR1000RR-R inspired CBR logo. The company offers the 2020 model in three colour options – Champion Red, Matte Gray and Pearl Glare White.
Features
The motorcycle pack features such as full-LED lighting, fully-digital instrument cluster, aluminium cast wheels with Y-shaped spoke design, auto hazard light in case of sudden braking and a five-step adjustable brake lever.
Engine
Mechanical specification on the 2020 Honda CBR400R includes a 399cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed transmission, the motor is tuned to produce 45.4bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 38Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The motorcycle also benefits from an assist and slipper clutch.
Cycle Parts
The 2020 CBR400R uses 41mm telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the back to handle the suspension tasks. The suspension setup features preload adjustability. Braking power comes from a 320mm, petal-type disc at the front and a 240mm petal-type rotor at the back while the safety net includes a dual-channel ABS.
