Honda has announced the launch of the 2020 CBR600RR in the Japanese market. The middleweight motorcycle, which has been priced at 1,606,000 yen (Rs 11.40 lakh), will be available in Japan from 25 September 2020. Here we bring you a detailed image gallery of the 2020 Honda CBR600RR.
The 2020 CBR600RR is built around a diamond frame. The hardware on the motorcycle comprises of twin discs at the front and a single rotor at the back to perform the anchoring tasks. The suspension setup includes inverted big piston forks and a mono-shock at the front and the rear respectively.
Styling cues are inspired by the latest iteration of the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade. The feature list on the 2020 Honda CBR600RR comprises of full-LED lighting, colour TFT instrument cluster, full-fairing design with winglets and split-style seats. The motorcycle also retains the under-seat exhaust setup.
The motorcycle is listed in a single colour option – tricolour 'Grand Prix Red' paint.
The 2020 Honda CBR600RR is powered by a 599cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to produce 119.3bhp at 14,000rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 11,500rpm.
The transmission features an assist and a slipper clutch mechanism as standard while a quick shifter is available as an option.
The motorcycle comes with Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). The safety net includes ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and emergency stop signal. The electronic aids also include power modes, wheelie behaviour alleviation, and selectable engine braking control.
