Honda has revealed the 2020 iteration of its 125cc minibike, the MSX 125 for the Vietnamese market. The latest version of the minibike, also known as the Grom 125 in other markets, features revised cosmetics that come in the form of new, dual-tone paint schemes. The 2020 Honda Grom 125 will be offered in three new colour options – Red/Blue, White/Red and Yellow/Black.
Apart from the addition of the new paint options, Honda has also marginally improved the fuel-tank capacity. The 2020 MSX 125 boasts of a 5.70-litre tank as against the 5.50-litre unit on its predecessor. The feature list on the 2020 MSX 125 includes LED headlight, LED taillight and a digital instrument cluster.
The minibike uses upside-down telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to perform the shock absorption tasks. Stopping power comes from disc brakes on both wheels.
Engine specifications include a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 9.25bhp of power at 7,000rpm and 10.6Nm at 5,500rpm. In comparison, its predecessor was tuned to deliver 9.7bhp and 10.9Nm.
The suggested price for the 2020 model in Vietnam stands at 49,990,000 Vietnamese dong.
Honda is also working on another minibike that will feature even more compact dimensions than the MSX 125/Grom 125. The upcoming minibike was revealed through leaked patent images.
