- KTM North America has recalled the 2020 Husqvarna Enduro 701 Lrs
- Motorcycles recalled over faulty fuel lines
- New fuel lines to be replaced free of charge
KTM North America has issued a recall notice for all the 2020 Husqvarna Enduro 701 Lrs motorcycles. The motorcycles have been recalled over faulty fuel lines. These fuel lines are placed on the front of the fuel tank in such a way that it might scrape against it, which may result in a fuel leak. This can further increase the risk of fire.
The Austrian automaker is notifying the owners of the affected bikes via email. The respective owners are expected to receive the recall notice from 11 June 2021. Upon receiving the notice, customers are expected to visit the dealerships where two new fuel lines and an additional clamp will be installed free of charge. The company claims that the replacement process will only take thirty minutes.
KTM has informed the dealers to carry out the replacement of parts on motorcycles in their inventory before any customer delivery. The dealers are also informed not to hand over the parts to the customers and the replacement is to only be carried out by trained technicians. According to KTM, a total of 171 motorcycle units are affected.
