- MV Agusta Brutal 800 gets Smart Clutch System
- Comes in two new colours
- Could be launched in India next year
MV Agusta has unveiled the Brutale 800 SCS globally. The streetfighter comes with the Smart Clutch System that was first introduced in the Turismo Veloce 800 in 2018.
The SCS 2.0, as it is called, disengages the clutch as the motorcycle comes to a stop thus preventing it from stalling. As the rider twists the throttle and the revs rise, the SCS re-engages. While you still need to use the foot lever to shift between gears, the use of the clutch is negated. However, the Smart Clutch also allows the rider to shift gears like a regular motorcycle if they choose. Additionally, the Brutale 800 SCS also comes with a two-way quickshifter as standard.
Apart from the clutch system, MV Agusta has adorned the Brutale 800 SCS with two new paint schemes that set it apart from the other variants. There is the Shock Pearl Red with Avio Grey and Ago Silver with Dark Metallic Grey options. Nevertheless, the rest of the motorcycle remains the same mechanically and cosmetically.
While the Italian manufacturer is yet to announce pricing or availability, we can expect them to be launched in international markets soon. As for India, MV Agusta is still on the lookout for a new partner to sell its motorcycles here. We can then expect the Brutale 800 SCS to make its way to the country priced at a slight premium over the standard variant.
