Sherco TVS Racing Rally Factory Team had a promising day in the fifth stage of the Dakar Rally 2021. Sherco TVS Racing Rally Factory Team rider, Lorenzo Santolino finished the stage in the fourth position. Santolino stands sixth in the overall rankings. Rui Goncalves and Harith Noah are 28th and 39th in the overall rankings at the end of stage five.
Hero MotoSports Team Rally’s Joaquim Rodrigues and Sebastian Buhler have secured the 19th and the 20th position in the overall ranking. The team’s third rider, CS Santosh, had to retire from the rally after suffering a crash in the fourth stage. He is currently receiving treatment at the Saudi German Hospital in Riyadh.
Monster Energy Honda Team 2021’s Kevin Benavides and Jose Ignacio Cornejo Florimo are first and third in the overall rankings, respectively while HT Rally Raid Husqvarna Racing’s Xavier De Soultrait is second.
In the next stage, the rally will move to Ha’il, with 448km to be done under the clock.
