Indian Motorcycles has teased the BS6-compliant Chief Bobber on its social media handles ahead of its India launch. The company had announced in February 2021 that the 2021 Indian Chief range will arrive in India in the second quarter (April-June) of 2021. The range will comprise of three models – Chief, Chief Bobber, and Super Chief.
All three models will use steel-tube frame and will be powered by Indian Motorcycle’s Thunderstroke motor. The new range will use a 15-litre fuel tank, bobbed rear fender, dual outboard preload-adjustable rear shocks, dual exhaust, LED lighting, keyless ignition, and Pirelli Night Dragon tires. The suspension setup at the front comprises 46mm telescopic forks with 132mm travel.
The electronic rider aids will comprise three riding modes (sport, standard and tour) and cruise control system. Buyers can further customise the motorcycle with over 80 accessories. The optional extras include parts specifically designed for Chief models. The list will also include several existing pieces available for Scout and Thunderstroke models.
