Kawasaki has announced the launch of the 2021 Ninja 250 in the Japanese market. The KRT edition of the quarter-litre motorcycle has been priced at 6,54,500 yen (Rs 4.62 lakh), and it will be available in Japan from this month. The motorcycle will be available in two colours – Metallic Carbon Gray and KRT edition. The Metallic Carbon Gray will be available at 6,43,500 yen (Rs 4.57 lakh). The company will also offer several optional accessories with the Ninja 250. These include a rear seat cowl, large windshield, DC power socket, and a radiator screen.
The changes are limited to the addition of the new colour and graphics. Thus, the 2021 model continues to include twin-pod LED headlight, semi-digital instrument cluster, muscular design, fairing integrated front blinkers, and a split-style saddle. The hardware comprises of telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to perform the suspension tasks. The anchoring setup includes petal-type discs (310mm front and 220mm rear) on both wheels while the safety net is handled by ABS.
The motorcycle is powered by a 248cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor that produces 36.2bhp at 12,500rpm and 23Nm at 10,000rpm. The six-speed gearbox benefits from a slipper and assist clutch function.
